Open studios, live demos, fall colors, and art for sale at each studio! Always the third full weekend in October. Join the fun in October 2023!

Go beyond the gallery and into the studios of over 65 artists during this free three day art tour. The Fall Art Tour spans Mineral Point, Spring Green, Dodgeville, and Baraboo. Friday-Sunday, October 20th, 21st & 22nd, 2023. 10am-6pm all three days. Live demonstrations at each stop on the tour all weekend long!

Sue says, "I'm a watercolor artist who creates paintings using primarily watercolor for
its beauty and transparent quality that is perfect for depicting nature but occasionally
combine other media as well. I enjoy discovering new approaches to achieve textural effects which is a key element in my work. My inspiration comes from the world around me. Nature and color are my passion. After many years of painting, I am constantly finding new ways to enjoy this journey of art."

Ashley says, “My work is intended to be a part of your everyday – functional, durable and dishwasher safe. Each piece is hand thrown in my pastoral Spring Green studio, all glazes are hand mixed here using environmentally friendly and food safe ingredients, then fired in our hand-built outdoor gas reduction kiln. At ease in a country cabin or an urban loft, my well crafted pieces feel like home.”

📚 Book Art

Joni likes the physicality of books. Creative, and largely self-taught, she’s become an accomplished bookbinder using several techniques and structures including: coptic, criss-cross, French-link, long-stitch, sewn-on-cords, stab, and tacket bindings.

She makes albums, calendar diaries, guestbooks, journals, notebooks, portfolios, and sketchbooks, as well as commissioned small editions of poetry, prose, or artwork using a variety of techniques.

Wayne says, "I began making jewelry in the 70’s using precious metals and gems. In the 8os I experimented with plastics, poly form clay and other weird items. In the 90s I returned to precious metals and gems.

Being in the studio making art is my joy and passion."

Currently Wayne's work is comprised of rings, earrings, and necklaces of highly textured and patinaed silver with gold accents and Maya use enamels to create wearable and affordable earrings, necklaces, and rings. They often collaborate together.

Maya says, "I began making simple beaded jewelry in 1989. In 1992, I met married skilled silversmith, Wayne Farra, and began incorporating silver and metals into my work. In 1998 I took a cloisoné enameling workshop and that technique became my passion. Since then I have specialized in kiln fired cloisonné jewelry."

"I enjoy working in both oils and pastels, on location–en plein air, and in studio using my photos as reference. I am inspired by the beauty of nature, light and patterns. I paint a variety of subjects – landscapes, animals, still life. To me a successful painting captures the spirit of the moment. I exhibit my work in group, solo and juried shows in Wisconsin and in online national competitions."
