Yesterday evening the Mine Hill Fire Department conducted low angle rope rescue training on a new embankment created by a commercial development. Members descended to a simulated victim at the bottom of the hill, packaged the victim, and were hauled back to the top. Members utilized the Petzl Maestro to lower the "rescuers" in a controlled manner and then proceeded to convert the system into a 3 to 1 hauling system.

If you're interested in learning how to use rope systems completely free to you, reach out to the Chief at [email protected].
