Serving Mine Hill, Wharton and Dover! We also participate in occasional special events with Troop 67 (Wharton).

Cub Scouts is a program for boys and girls, K-5th, where youth develop the foundations for leadership, citizenship & personal fitness through fun activities involving their families. As the 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence approches, I appreciate the history of how it all happened. July 4, 1776 is the history date we all learned in school. The Reality: Congress actually voted to approve the resolution for independence from Britain on July 2nd, adopted final text of the Declaration on July 4th (which was only signed by John Hancock and Charles Thomson that day so copies could be printed), and the formal, ceremonial signing of the parchment by the majority of the 56 delegates didn't occur until August 2, 1776! One of the only remaining original prints of the Declaration, from July 9, 1776, will be on display starting this July 4 at the ArtsWestchester Gallery in White Plains, NY !

A Cub Scout is REVERENT. 🌳✨

Our 🦁Lions & 🐯Tigers each drew about their favorite family faith traditions, holidays, and celebrations. 🍃🎨 Individually, each leaf told a small part of a Scout’s story. Together, those leaves grew into a beautiful Reverence Tree—one that reflects the many traditions, beliefs, and celebrations that make up our Scouting family. 💙💛🪾

Back to school today… but honestly, our minds are still at the Cub Camporee!💭🏕️🇺🇸🤭

What an unforgettable weekend at the Skylands District Spring Cub Camporee: Spirit of ’76 — the perfect kickoff as we look ahead to America’s 250th anniversary! With amazing weather and even better company, our Cub Scouts and families packed the weekend with adventure: racing boats, planting seeds and trees, obstacle courses, fishing, range & target activities, crafts, games and ending the night with skits around the campfire 🔥🎭✨🎶

Lots of laughs, learning, memories made, and scouting spirit all weekend long. 💙❤️🤍We already can’t wait to do it again this fall!

This morning, our Pack 45 Cubs, Troop 67 Scouts, families, and volunteers proudly joined Dover’s American Legion Post 27 at Locust Hill Cemetery to honor our nation’s heroes. 🇺🇸

Despite the chilly rain, our Scouts showed true Scouting spirit by replacing flags on the graves of deceased Veterans — demonstrating service, citizenship, respect, and duty to country in action.

We are so proud of our Scouts for living the Scout Oath and Law through service. Thank you to American Legion Post 27 for including us in this meaningful tradition. 🤍

What an AMAZING race day! 🏆🔥 Congratulations to our Pack 45 Pinewood Derby race winners and our Outlaw division champions! 🏁🌟

We are so proud of all of our Cub Scouts for their creativity, effort, and great sportsmanship on race day.

The Pinewood Derby is one of the most exciting Cub Scout adventures, where Scouts team up with a parent or guardian to design, build, and decorate their very own race car 🏎️ 🎨⚒️ Along the way, they learn creativity, problem-solving, craftsmanship, the value of working together & so much more.

🙏Thank you to all the volunteers, families, and Scouts who helped make our Pinewood Derby a huge success — this event truly shows what makes our Pack community so special. ✨ We’re already looking forward to next year’s race! 🏎️💨
