🚨 $2,500 Scholarship Opportunity for Delaware First Responder Families! 🚨
The Shaffer Foundation of Delaware First Responder Scholarship is now accepting applications!

If you meet the following eligibility requirements, we encourage you to apply:

🎓 Education Level: High School Student graduating in 2027
🎯 Future Goals: Planning to attend an accredited college or university
👨‍🚒 Background: Must be the child of a Delaware first responder (Firefighter, Police Officer, Paramedic, or Dispatcher)

One deserving student will receive a $2,500 scholarship to help support their educational journey and future success.

As we wrap up another incredible Rally For Our First Responders, I want to take a moment to thank the small but mighty committee behind The Shaffer Family Foundation of Delaware.

❤️ My husband, Darren Shaffer, is the backbone of this event. He supports our mission every step of the way, designs the entire rally layout, and spends countless hours helping set up the day before and the day of the rally.

❤️ Sarah Collier has been with us for all 5 years. She organizes our vendors and helps direct both vendors and nonprofits to their locations on rally day, making sure everything runs smoothly.

❤️ Joyce Bauchner has been with us for 4 years and manages our online silent auction. She dedicates countless hours before and during the rally to ensure its success.

❤️ Ann and DJ Manny Mann have been part of our committee for 3 years. Ann assists with marketing, frontline stories, and leads our Kid Zone on rally day. Manny serves as one of our MCs and oversees the sound and music throughout the event.

❤️ Our newest committee member, Mallory Lemin, has already made a tremendous impact by helping secure sponsorships and silent auction donations.

A huge thank you as well to our amazing food trucks, Modded Familia, and all of the incredible vendors who helped keep everyone fed, energized, and part of the community atmosphere we love so much.

A very special thank you to all of the first responders who came out to support, showcase their vehicles, provide demonstrations, and spend time connecting with the community. Your presence is what makes this event so meaningful, and we are truly grateful for everything you do every single day.

To this amazing group of volunteers—thank you for your dedication, passion, and countless hours spent supporting our mission.

And thank you to all of our sponsors, nonprofits, volunteers, attendees, and supporters who made this year's rally possible. Most importantly, thank you for helping us honor and support the first responders who sacrifice so much to keep our communities safe.
