🚨 APPLICATIONS ARE NOW OPEN FOR THE 2027 GEORGIA DNR CAREER ACADEMY!
Are you interested in wildlife, conservation, law enforcement, or the great outdoors? The Georgia Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is offering an exciting, weeklong summer academy where students can explore careers while gaining hands-on experience!
📅 Academy Dates: July 18–24, 2027
📍 Locations: Charlie Elliott Wildlife Center in Mansfield, GA, and Jekyll 4-H Center on Jekyll Island.
🌟 WHAT WILL STUDENTS EXPERIENCE?
🦌 Work alongside wildlife and fisheries professionals.
👮 Learn from Georgia game wardens and park managers.
🏕️ Explore state parks, wildlife management areas, and historic sites.
🐟 Visit fish hatcheries and Georgia’s beautiful coast.
🤝 Discover career opportunities and connect with DNR employees.
🎓 Potentially earn dual enrollment college credit!
📋 WHO CAN APPLY?
✅ Current high school sophomores and juniors
✅ Must be a Georgia resident
📝 HOW TO APPLY:
1. Complete the online application.
2. Have a parent or guardian complete the required permission form.
3. Submit one recommendation letter from a teacher, counselor, principal, or club advisor.
4. Selected applicants will be invited to an online interview in December 2026.
