🇺🇸 Brotherly Love Foundation, Inc. was honored to attend the City of Fort Lauderdale Memorial Day Ceremony at Lauderdale Memorial Park Cemetery as we joined our community in remembering and honoring the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.

Today was a powerful reminder that freedom is never free. We extend our deepest gratitude to all veterans, active military personnel, and the families who continue to carry the legacy of our fallen heroes.

Thank you to the City of Fort Lauderdale for hosting such a meaningful ceremony of remembrance, unity, and patriotism.

As we reflect this Memorial Day, let us continue to uplift and support those who have served and the families who have sacrificed so much for America. 🇺🇸

🇺🇸 Memorial Day is more than a long weekend — it is a sacred day of remembrance. Many historians recognize one of the earliest Memorial Day observances took place in Charleston, South Carolina on May 1, 1865, when formerly enslaved Black Americans and Black Union soldiers honored and buried fallen Union soldiers with dignity and respect.

Their act of love, sacrifice, and remembrance helped shape what we now know as Memorial Day.

Today, we honor ALL who gave their lives in service to this nation and remember the often-overlooked contributions of Black soldiers and communities throughout American history.

May we never forget the price of freedom. ❤️🤍💙
