We’re kicking off our 2026–2027 4-H Community Service Initiatives with a School Uniform Share during August & September!

We are collecting new and gently used JCSS-approved school uniforms to help make sure students in our community have what they need for a successful school year. If your children have outgrown uniforms that are still in good condition, we would LOVE to give them a new home!

🩳 Uniform shorts
👗 Uniform skirts/skorts
…and other JCSS-approved uniform pieces!

4-H’ers — don’t forget! Donations count toward your club’s community service participation and Club of the Year points! Be sure your donation is credited to your class when you turn it in!

This is such a simple way to clean out those closets AND help another student in our community.

🧀🌮 This is NACHO Average Engineering Challenge! 🌮🧀

Mission Make-It is an exciting opportunity for 6th–8th graders to explore engineering through hands-on activities, teamwork, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving!

This year’s theme is all about FOOD! Participants will be “Cooking Up Solutions” as they use the engineering design process to tackle real-world food-related challenges. The event will also feature interactive workshops, guest speakers, and exciting exhibits! For my 7th & 8th grade cooking kiddos, this event will be GREAT for your portfolio!

📅 Please contact the Jenkins County 4-H Office no later than Tuesday, August 25 if your child would like to participate.

💲 Youth Registration: $6 per participant
This reduced rate includes lunch, facility fees, supplies, and insurance and is made possible through a generous endowment.

👨‍👩‍👧 Parent Registration: $24 per person
This includes lunch and facility fees. Parents registering at this rate may attend and supervise only their own child. Siblings and other youth may not attend.

🏕️ Optional Overnight Stay: $28.50 per person
Friday-night lodging and Saturday breakfast may be added for an additional $28.50 per person. Adult supervision is required for all youth staying overnight.

Spaces may be limited, so let us know as soon as possible if your middle schooler is ready to cook up some creative engineering solutions! 🧑‍🍳⚙️💡

As we prepare for our We're So Jenkins County Back to School Giveaway, we are collecting new or gently used school uniforms and sneakers for students in our community.
We are accepting donations of: ✅ Uniform shirts and pants ✅ Skirts, shorts, and jumpers ✅ Sneakers and athletic shoes ✅ All youth and teen sizes
Every child deserves to start the school year feeling confident, prepared, and ready to succeed. Your donation can make a tremendous difference for a family in need.
If you have uniforms or sneakers that your children have outgrown but are still in good condition, please consider donating them. Together, we can help ensure that no student starts the school year without the essentials they need.

Congratulations to our 2025–2026 Jenkins County 4-H Club of the Year — Mrs. Margo Hadden’s 4th Grade Rotation! 🍀

This year’s competition was TIGHT, with this class winning by only 21 points! These students worked hard all year by collecting community service items, wearing green on club days, participating in DPA, and taking advantage of other 4-H opportunities.

To celebrate, we had a Club of the Year party filled with team games, lots of laughter, and a few fun snacks.

We are so proud of Mrs. Hadden’s class and all of our 4-H’ers who worked hard this year. Way to go, 4th grade! 💚🍀
