The Southeast Produce Council (SEPC) sprouted in 1999 when a shared vision for cultivating a nonprofit Southeastern-based produce organization was planted. From the first formal meeting of the SEPC where 100 agriculture, retail, and foodservice professionals gathered, we’ve flourished into a vibrant and innovative organization of over 4,000 industry professionals who reap the benefits of harvesting quality experiences guaranteed to increase the value of their membership. As with farmland, a well-cultivated industry can last for generations, and today, we continue to grow at a steady pace thanks to a broad range of backgrounds and expertise from people like you, creating a more bountiful tomorrow.

🏥BRINGING BETTER TOGETHER IN ORLANDO! 🫶

Members of our Southeast Produce Council family recently had the privilege of attending the inspiring Bringing Better Together reception at the new Orlando Health Children’s Pavilion!

Through our SEPC Cares initiatives and dedicated Orlando Health Children's Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children Committee, SEPC is proud to stand alongside healthcare leaders and community partners in supporting top-tier pediatric care, health, and nutrition for young patients and their families across Central Florida.

Experiencing this world-class facility firsthand was a powerful reminder of what happens when a community unites around a shared vision to heal, support, and lift up the next generation.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone at Orlando Health for hosting us and to our SEPC members whose continued generosity and involvement make these impactful partnerships possible!

The Southeast Produce Council is proud to team up with the Society of St. Andrew-Alabama, Tuskegee University, and incredible local community partners for an impactful food distribution event at the Black Belt Marketing & Innovation Center (BBMIC) in Selma, Alabama!

Together, we’re sharing a massive bounty of fresh produce to improve access to healthy food across the Black Belt—and we need YOU to help us source, pack, and distribute these vital boxes to local families! 📦🌾

Volunteer Shift Options: 📍 Location: BBMIC | Selma, AL
- Friday, Nov. 13 (Indoor Box Packing & Palletizing)
- Saturday, Nov. 14 (Distribution & Traffic Direction)

🍎 PRODUCE DONATIONS: If you or your organization are able to donate fresh produce to support this activation, please contact Andrew Scott of Nickey Gregory Company directly to make donation arrangements.

🚀 Accepting Applications: SEPC Next Generation Leadership Academy! 🚀

The Southeast Produce Council is excited to embark on the fifth year of the NGLA! Designed specifically for the next generation of produce-industry leaders, this immersive, year-long program blends conscious-leadership methodologies with practical skill-building.

Spanning both the buy side and the sell side of the industry, participants will sharpen their competencies, expand their capacity to navigate complexity, and cultivate a growth-oriented mindset through a tailored mix of in-person gatherings and virtual learning.

Know an emerging leader who is ready for the roles ahead? Nominate them today!

📅 Key Dates:
- Applications Close: January 1st at 5:00 PM EST
- Class Announcement: Keynote Brunch at Southern Exposure 2027
- Graduation: Southern Exposure 2028

✅ Applicant Eligibility Requirements:
- Emerging leader in produce, mid-level manager or above
- Employed in the produce industry for at least 4 years
- Member in “Good Standing” of the SEPC
**To be in “Good Standing”, a member must actively participate in the SEPC via attendance, contributions, or both, and be included on our Membership Roll.
- Must possess organizational-level support to participate
- Must possess a vision for leadership, a strong drive for industry contribution, and a compelling 2-minute video explaining why they are a great candidate
