Comet Cup Honors-
POTG 3/4- Game 1, August Urick had 3 goals and brought the energy in a 6-7 loss against a tough mariemont team. Game 2, Reagan Ballhaus did a tremendous job fighting for groundballs, big time clears, and a goal in a nice win over the Falcons. It was tough to pick for game 3 as they all played so well, so Charlotte Hofrichter and Berkley Jones are sharing the honor as they were up and down the field, winning gbs, clearing , and each scoring in a fun win over centerville.
Team honors-
It was an exciting day at the Comet Cup, and the girls showed up from the very first whistle and never let up. While it was tough to come up short in the first game, their resilience stood out as they battled back and nearly turned it into a win.
In the second game, the focus shifted to learning how to maintain possession on the offensive end, move the ball effectively, and open up fast break opportunities. They did a great job pushing the ball downfield and connecting with attackers for some really strong sequences.
By the third game, everything started to click. Their hustle and grit on ground balls made a real difference all day, and it showed again as they created turnovers with physical pressure and worked together defensively for key stops. That effort led to a well-earned win to close out the day.
This team scored the most collective points in the entire tournament spanning all age groups! Proud of the way this group competed, learned, and grew with each game.
POTG 5/6 Comet cup Honors-
Three games three players of the game over here for 5/6. Game one Emma Watson on fire starting it off (and kept it all day) scoring 2 in game one for a win over Anderson. Game two Anastasia Hartigan with some killer defense and runs clearing the ball back to make Milford hot to shoot for a tie game with South Dayton. Game three Marin Robison while a tough loss to Creek she keep her head high and had some fantastic saves in goal.
