Mayflower Council

Mayflower Council The Official page of Scouting America Mayflower Council.

Here in Mayflower Council, that adventure of Scouting is being realized every week at the den, troop and crew meetings, outings, treks and camp programs. The Mayflower Council serves 61 cities and towns in Eastern Massachusetts and extends from Stow, MA, in the north to Plymouth, MA, in the South. This overall territory is divided into six distinct areas, known as Districts, to ensure resources ar

e evenly distributed among the Council’s constituent communities. Within and just outside the Council’s borders are three excellent Council-owned camping properties: Camp Resolute in Bolton, MA, Camp Squanto in Plymouth, MA, and the Nobscot Scout Reservation on the border of Framingham and Sudbury, MA. Together, they constitute over 1,400 acres of beautiful forested land, open space, lakes, and streams, making each one a true "Urban Oasis."

The August 2026 Unit Training Leader Board is officially here! 🏆

A huge congratulations to our top-performing units in "The 100 Club" for reaching a 100% trained leadership status, as well as every pack, troop, and crew that made this month’s leaderboard rankings!

Across Mayflower Council, 55% of our leaders are fully trained (2,014 leaders total), but we still have 1,617 untrained leadership positions to fill. Trained leaders are essential to providing a safe, high-quality, and fun program for our youth.

If you need to complete your position-specific training or want to help your unit climb the ranks for September, head over to my.Scouting.org today.

Big news for unit leadership: Scouting America is streamlining the membership process to move all units and individual members to a unified February renewal cycle by 2028!

Here is what your unit leadership needs to know about this transition starting in September 2026:

Full Roster Control: Unit leaders will retain complete control of unit rosters while returning member renewal responsibility directly to the unit level.

Pro-Rated Transition: Beginning September 2026, renewing and new units will pay their standard annual charter fee plus a monthly pro-rated fee covering them through February 2028.

Streamlined Future: By February 2028, all memberships and charters across Scouting America will share one common February renewal date, simplifying administration for families and volunteers alike.

Have any questions? Reach out to your Membership Executive; they are happy to help!

Big news for our path to Eagle Scouts and unit leaders! 🦅 Starting in Summer 2027, Camp Squanto will officially serve as an additional location for Eagle Boards of Review on Fridays from 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM. Candidates can complete their board at camp, stay for Evening Colors, and be recognized with a special presentation at the campfire!

We’ve already seen this exciting addition in action—huge congratulations to Elsha B. from Troop 1920 Plymouth, who successfully passed her Eagle Board of Review at Camp Squanto this past summer! 👏

Thank you to all the volunteers, leaders, and board members who made this possible and continue to support our Scouts on their journey to Eagle.
