Evergreen Center

Evergreen Center A non-profit, residential school, serving children and adolescents with Autism or intellectual and developmental disabilities. Littleton, Jr.

The Evergreen Center was founded in 1982 by Dr. Robert F. to provide day and residential treatment services for children and adolescents with severe developmental disabilities. Evergreen's standard for successful instruction is social competence and community participation. We believe children will develop to their maximum potential when instruction is woven through daily activities and living env

ironments. Evergreen students live in residential neighborhoods and travel to and from our school each day through the Blackstone Valley Massachusetts countryside. Our individualized education programs are based upon the principles of applied behavioral analysis and evidence-based practice. The Evergreen Center employs a multi-disciplinary team of trained professionals responsible for the success of each student's individualized education program. Our parents are involved in all aspects of their child's individualized education program, providing key information and setting realistic goals.

Happy !

Today, we celebrate the many ways neurodivergent minds think, communicate, explore, and grow. Every individual brings their own strengths - and those differences enrich our entire community.

We’re proud to create a supportive environment where each learner is encouraged to shine in the ways that are uniquely theirs. Neurodiversity reminds us that there is no single path to learning or success - and that every journey deserves respect and celebration.

Last week, the Evergreen Center welcomed the Milford Fire Department for a special visit focused on safety, education, and building comfort with emergency responders.

Our students had the opportunity to see, touch, and even try on firefighter gear – experiencing the sights and sounds associated with emergency response equipment in a calm, supportive environment. This hands-on experience familiarized students with firefighters and their equipment in a safe setting, helping them feel more at ease and prepared should they encounter these situations in real life.

Thank you to the Milford Fire Department for helping our students learn in such a positive and meaningful way!

We enjoyed attending the Association for Behavior Analysis International® (ABAI) Convention in San Francisco, CA! The event brought together the ABA community, united by a shared commitment to advancing the field. We were excited to highlight the important work being done across our Evergreen programs, exchange ideas, and explore innovative approaches with so many other inspiring leaders in Behavior Analysis.

Congratulations to Evergreen’s Dr. Kayla Curran and Jodie Lehman for presenting their research poster, “Acquisition and Maintenance of Targeted Social Skills for Individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder Domain”. Their work explored whether implementing a structured social skills curriculum for individuals on the autism spectrum leads to stronger skill retention across settings.

We had a great time connecting with so many amazing ABA professionals at the Conference! It was a day full of innovative presentations and meaningful conversations with leaders across the ABA field. We’re proud to do the work we do – supporting individuals with developmental challenges through compassionate, evidence based ABA services.

We extend our appreciation to Evergreen’s Dr. Joseph Vedora and Dr. John Ward-Horner for their leadership and service as MassABA board members and contributors to the conference committee. Their efforts play an important role in strengthening and advancing the ABA community. We also further recognize Evergreen’s Eric Bosompem for his meaningful contributions as a MassABA student representative, whose perspective and dedication support the growth of emerging professionals in the field.

Our Adult Supports team enjoyed attending the Association of Developmental Disabilities Providers LEAD! 2026 Conference in Springfield, MA. It was a valuable chance to connect with colleagues across the state and dive into new ideas around workforce, technology, policy, and leadership.

For our Adult Supports program, these conversations matter. The insights we gained will help us continue supporting adults with developmental disabilities, ensuring our programs reflect their goals, needs, and daily experiences.
