DID YOU KNOW??
The Milford Senior Center provides free transportation services to the local Milford area for all active members. This service has recently expanded to include Houston, Felton, and Slaughter Beach, and includes a ride from your home to the center and back, as well as to doctor appointments or for shopping needs. We have three vehicles, each equipped with a wheel chair lift. Contact Addie, our Transportation Coordinator for more information.

Milford Senior Center will be closed, Friday, June 19th in observance of Juneteenth. We will reopen Monday, June 22nd for all regularly scheduled activities.

Please enjoy some pictures from last week's monthly Birthday Celebration! Huge shoutout to our Party Sponsor Adult Protective Services. Congrats to Alice for winning their amazing raffle prize loaded with gift cards and other goodies! And to Cheryl, our 50/50 winner. DJ Music was provided by Paige's Kindness Project and our party vendors also supplied some great additional raffle prizes.

We do this the 2nd Thursday of every month, and we are always looking for sponsors. Get YOUR business involved today by contacting Kathy Miller at 302.422.3385. We still need Party Sponsors for September and December this year (2027 dates also available). Continental Birthday Breakfast Sponsors needed too. You can make a difference in the lives of some special seniors by being part of this special day.

DID YOU KNOW???

We host an Annual Member's Picnic & Fundraiser each year at the Milford Elks Lodge pavilion. Join us on Friday, June 26th to enjoy music, dancing, free activities and friendship as we enjoy a delicious BBQ lunch. The picnic is 10:30am - 1:30pm and admission is only $10 for members, $12 for non-members. Please RSVP by June 23rd to allow for adequate planning. There will be limited availability to purchase admission the day of the event.

Was a super BUSY day at the Center today. It started with our massage therapist,Maria of Thrive Alive LLC, who presented us with a cushioned table for the fitness center. The table will allow members to do stretching and other exercises from an elevated level, rather than from the floor with mats. Thank you Maria for the donation, this is a great new addition to the gym!💪👟🏋️‍♂️

"Red, White & Boots" is going to be a fantastic, patriotic themed night of music, dancing and other shenanigans! 🤠🎶🇺🇸🍺🍹

Featuring Garrett Roe music, two cash bars, Bibi's food for purchase and a bake sale featuring homemade treats! 💰🌮🍪 Bring cash for Bibi’s, the bake sale and the 50/50.

Must be 21, $10 general admission, or $100 for reserved tables for 10 (limited number of tables-get yours soon).

Okay, maybe it won’t be quite as patriotic as these people, but we will do our best 🤣

DID YOU KNOW???

We have a new little library here at Milford Senior Center, located in our newly renovated space. It is stocked with a variety of books to satisfy all your literary interests. Members are welcome to come pick a book or two and return them on an honor system. All our books are donated by members, the community, and the Milford Public Library.

Just learned that they need a minimum of 15 people to run the charter boat. We have 9 people signed up for this trip so far.

Boat leaves next Wednesday, June 10th. Who wants to join us?? See our trip details in the flyer below (includes the trip, tips to mates, rod rental, and round trip transportation from the Center). If you want to just head over to Bowers Beach on your own and get on the Captain's Lady, you can do that. Cost is $88 for trip and rod (non-senior rate), or $80 for senior rate. Please call them directly at 302.359.6600 and tell Doris that Kathy from the Senior Center told you to call! We really want this trip to go!

Need a good reason to play hooky tomorrow and have some fun? Check this out... We have 10 tickets left for tomorrow's SOLD OUT performance of Joshua at Sight & Sound.

We have 2 options for you. Get just the tickets and travel on your own for $83 per ticket (online price is $93). Or, hop on the Jor-Lin bus for a ride from Milford Senior Center to Shady Maple and then to Sight & Sound for $175 per person (this is the member price and includes round trip transportation, lunch and the performance).
