Thank you to Lion John Miller for building a new Milford Lions Club eyeglass donation box at the town transfer station. The box is located right next to the three plastic bags donation bins which the Milford Lions use for its plastic recycling project. Folks are welcomed to donate their unused eyeglasses and encouraged to recycle their plastic bags.

This evening the Milford Lions Club welcomed our newest member, Caelyn Porter with her sponsor Tricia Shea, and honored our longest serving member Lion Chuck Worcester, for his 60 years of service. Both were recognized by our District Governor Nancy Charbono-Ricard. Congratulations to both for their commitment to service to the Milford community. At tonight’s Milford Lions Club meeting, five wonderful youngsters, members of the Lions Cub Club, were presented with certificates in recognition of their community service. During this past year the children participated in trash clean up at Keyes Field, Christmas caroling at local nursing homes, helping at the Pumpkin Festival, planting flowers at the Carey House, community gardening, and helping neighbors in need.

As the saying goes, “You are never too small to make a big difference."

Isn’t that the truth. 😊👍

Members of the Milford Lions Club as well as many others from the community came out last evening to meet and thank Carl and Debra Scheetz for securing the 9/11 steel relic that now rests in Milford’s Memorial Park.

Retired New York City firefighter Carl Scheetz served the FDNY for 38 years. He lived through the terrible losses of September 11 and devoted years afterward to preserving World Trade Center steel so that its meaning—and the sacrifice it represents—would not be forgotten.

His wife, Debra Scheetz, made the journey north carrying the South Tower steel that was entrusted to Milford.

The Town of Milford is eternally grateful. 🇺🇸

The Milford Lions are proud sponsors and encourage all to join in the historic unveiling of Milford’s Freedom Memorial on September 11th at 8:00 AM. “Always in our hearts.” Never forget.” 🇺🇸

Ever present. If there's a big event in town, the Milford Lions are there! Today's "Summer Bash" held at Keyes Memorial Park was a huge success. Of note was the public reading of the Declaration of Independence in which the Lions were well represented: Paul Dargie, Mark Genovese, Elizabeth Keenan, Rick Mossey, Bill Parker, Tina Philbrick, and Peter Petrigno
