Hey Milan friends! Milan Public Library - Milan, Michigan is giving away free seeds. Please consider planting a vegetable garden this Spring and donate the produce to your neighborhood pantry. Let's build robust local food infrastructure!

Free seeds! Stop by the library to choose flower or vegetable seeds, while supplies last. We also have a few varieties of tomato seeds that didn't make it in the picture.

MOREL HUNTING IN MICHIGAN: CATCH AND COOK!

This engaging lecture with local, lifelong mushroom hunter Yanna Sasu explores Michigan’s rich morel mushroom culture, including an overview of the different species of morels. Learn how to identify various species and their host trees. Discover foraging tips and simple cooking methods. Yanna is a seasoned mushroom forger and an active member of the Michigan Mushroom Hunter's Club.

What a great event! Thank you, Moving Milan Forward for hosting it!

Milan’s Earth Day Fair drew a record crowd and came close to its zero-waste goal.

Organizers say the fair diverted 92.9% of its waste from the landfill, with vendors, speakers, live animals, music and hands-on activities filling Wilson Park.
