Juniata FFA Chapter is located in Mifflintown, Juniata County. Currently we have approximately 126 members in the chapter. We continue to strive for excellence in all that we do. We are looking for some new members to join a board that meets twice a year to provide input to the Juniata County Agriculture Departments. (Juniata FFA Chapter and East Juniata FFA) We need experts in the fields of forestry, wildlife and fishery sciences, food science, agriculture mechanics (Welding and Small Gas Engines), animal science, veterinary science, plant science and everything in between. Next meeting with be November 18th at the East Juniata Agriculture Dept. If you are interested in joining please email, [email protected] for more information and the time of the meeting.

The Juniata County Conservation District is excited to announce our first College-Level Conservation Legacy Scholarship! Applications are due October 31, 2026.

The Juniata County Conservation District has established a Conservation Legacy Scholarship Program to support agricultural, environmental, and natural resources related careers for current college students residing in Juniata County, Pennsylvania. This scholarship is in memory of the board and staff members who shaped the Juniata County Conservation District into the current organization it is today!

Scholarships are being offered to undergraduate students currently enrolled in conservation, natural resources, agricultural and/or other related program(s). Students must meet the requirements listed in the application announcement to be considered. One recipient will be awarded $1,000.00 by the Juniata County Conservation District Scholarship Committee and Board of Directors.

2026’s Conservation Legacy Scholarship is dedicated to Mr. Dick Hackenberger, who served 54 years on the Juniata County Conservation District Board and many years of teaching students through FFA and trades programs at several Juniata County Schools. Dick was very passionate about educating young students about agriculture and the importance of conservation!

Wednesday, Oct 14th is R&K Sub pickup at the TJHS Ag Shop from 2-4:30 pm. Please pick up and deliver to your customers.

Appreciation Post- We would like to thank Evan Wieger for getting the mums for the Fall Mum Teacher sale again this year. Evan got over 60 mums for us to sell to the teachers at the end of September. Thank you Evan. Unfortunately the sale was so successful that we did not have any left after 2 hours to have a sale for the public.
