My seasonal job at Williams Trading post is coming to a bittersweet end this weekend.

Reflecting on the last three months, I learned one of the hardest parts of adulthood is deciding where to invest your time and energy in order to help your family grow. And while this season wasn’t always easy, I’m grateful for it.

I loved being surrounded by beautiful plants every day and working alongside such an incredible group of women. I also realized something important: I had forgotten what it felt like to have a little space for myself outside of toddlers, chores, and donkeys.

That space gave me perspective.

It reminded me how much I love this farm. How much I love creating things here. How much I love sharing it with all of you. And most importantly, how much I love the time I get to spend with my family. (Especially when my boys would cry about Mama going to work AGAIN?!)

So while I’m grateful for this chapter and a little sad that it's ending, I am SO ready to be back!

The project list has grown longer by the day, the ideas are flowing, and we’re planning some really fun things coming soon!

Have I mentioned how amazing our volunteers are?? Our Tuesday kids worked together yesterday after the pigs broke their gate. One nailed it back together while the other kept the pigs busy and out of the way! What a great team! 🩷🐷

The last thing I expected to hear when I walked in the barn today is that Frank thinks this bubble toy is pretty cool! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

If you don't know Frank, his official title here is Semi Retired Chief of Operations! 🪪

He has been a huge part of building this farm from the ground up. He has been an animal lover his whole life and he came to us when he needed to retire his horse but still be fully involved in his daily care. (Rest in Peace Toughy 🙏🏻)

Then long story short, he met a couple of donkeys, fell in love, and jumped full force into this crazy sanctuary life with us! 🤪

Frank taught me how to hook up a trailer and drive a tractor. I'm doing things I never thought I was capable of because of his support (and patience!) 💪🏻

Now my kids run out to the barn to see if he brought a pop tart to share and they add him to their list of fun parts of their day before bed. ☺️

I think the universe connects people for a reason and this farm would absolutely not be what it is today without him 🥹

Thank you Frank, for everything! 💚💛

Ps. If you ever come here and meet him in person, ask him about the time he brought "pet" raccoons into his mother's house as a kid. It's my favorite Frank story 🦝🤣

Brodie left us a clue! 🧐

We keep a big bale of hay on a loft that Frank and Derek built for them. We climb up and pull some down for them each day.

I should have realized by the amount of hay stuck on Brodies horns that they found a way to climb up and destroy the whole bale 😅

I hope they had fun! 🙃🤣

We are SO excited for The Healing Path Care Farm to bring another amazing group program to The Forever Farm!

Registration is officially open for Bloom & Belong- a program for teen girls held by a licensed clinician who loves to help people find confidence and feel comfortable in their own skin 💕💕💕

Wednesdays: 7/8, 7/16, and 7/22
Time: 5:30-7:30 pm
Age: 14-18 years
Cost: $20/session
Location: Middleboro location only (168 Highland St. Middleboro)

I meant to post this morning but time got away from me today! 😅

Tommy woke up at 5am and was absolutely not letting me go outside without him 🤣

My plans for peaceful quiet chores and gardening changed into something even more special. Some quality time with my little guy who just doesn't seem so little anymore! 💕💕💕
