Thank you Dedham Savings!

Ascension Career Training Inc. has received a $5,000 grant from the Dedham Savings Community Foundation to help build a new three-bay trades workshop at Ascension’s Moving Mountains transitional housing and education facility. The workshop will provide practical training space for participants preparing for careers in the skilled trades and healthcare.

This support from Dedham Savings brings us an important step closer to opening the workshop. Hands-on training is essential for our participants, many of whom come from underserved communities and are ready to start meaningful careers.

We’re grateful for Dedham’s partnership and their commitment to strengthening opportunities in our community.

Ascension Career Training is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit organization that helps individuals acquire the necessary knowledge and skills for obtaining a livable-wage-making job in Massachusetts.

Not only will we match individuals with employers in their fields of interest, but we’ll also provide preparatory training and continuing education in those fields.

Ascension will seek funding to supplement the lower wages individuals may earn while they are still in training, as well as, compensate the professionals on our staff who have dedicated their time and expertise to this incredible cause.
