The Lakeville Historical Society will hold its next meeting on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at 7 pm at the Lakeville Council-on-Aging off Precinct Street. Masks are required in all Town buildings. The program is free, accessible, and open to the public. Refreshments will be served on the screened porch.
The evening's program is "Mythbusting Lizzie Borden". The powerpoint program will be presented by Dr. Stefani Koorey. She will show many images and some special surprises. The progam is funded in part by a Lakeville Arts Council and the Massachusetts Cultural Council Grant. A question and answer time will follow the program.
Dr. Koorey has a long list of interest and credentials. She is Editor and Publisher of Peartree Press. She has worked as a research librarian and in genealogy research. She has been a professor in theatre history and theatre arts. She is a storyteller.
The Fall Yard Sale was successful in beginning to raise money for the cupola repairs. The Committee would like to thank everyone for donating items and time and for all the shoppers who stopped by to support the project.
Please check out our new page created by Charlotte Moore.
"Lakeville Historical Society" will have information on future fundraising events, meetings, pictures of the past, etc.
