RipplAffect was at Spring Valley Academy’s annual Fall Festival in Centerville, Ohio today, spreading the word about RipplAffect’s mission to bring clean water to the world’s most impoverished people.

August 26, 2026. The day catastrophic flooding and mudslides devastated portions of Nepal.

The cost in human life has been high: more than 1300 confirmed dead, while Thousands still remain missing as search and recovery continues in the most heavily affected areas.

In addition to the loss of life, vital infrastructure, including roads, bridges, and water systems have suffered damage that can only be termed catastrophic.

People cannot heal or even survive without clean water - which is now is short supply.

That is why RipplAffect’s Nepal fundraiser continues. And we are within $8000 of our goal, which will send 1000 water filters to Nepal.

The horrific floods and mudslides in Nepal have faded from the daily news, but the suffering of the survivors continues. RipplAffect is there, ready to distribute water filters to people still waiting for help.
Volunteers are on the ground, waiting, as our mission to collect $18000 for 1000 filters continues.

How tragic to survive the floods only to sicken or perish from contaminated water.

Friends and followers of RipplAffect: please remember that every time you share one of our videos, you increase not only the number of people who hear about this important work, but the potential for new donors who can help us help the poorest of people in the world.

Today’s Throwback Thursday reaches all the way back to February 2017 to RippleAffect’s very first distribution.
We partnered with The Adventist Development and Relief Association (ADRA) to visit Haiti in the aftermath of Hurricane Andrew.
We placed 333 water filters in the hands of people in the worst cholera-affected area after the hurricane destroyed homes and lives. 333 filters that provided sustainable, clean water to over 2,800 people.

9 years later we are still, with your help, bringing life and health to people desperate for the most basic of human needs - clean water.

Take a look back with us at these faces and the poverty in which they live and then - please - turn your hearts to the people of Nepal who are struggling after the recent floods and mudslides.

This past week Nepal experienced devastating mudslides as a result of massive flooding.

In response, RipplAffect is launching an emergency fundraiser to help people who are now dealing with loss and destruction on so many levels. We can’t bring back lives or property, but RipplAffect can bring clean water.

A local team is waiting in Nepal, ready to begin distribution. Now we are raising the funds necessary to purchase the planned 1000 filters. 100 are already covered, so we are off to a good start.

Because this is an immediate need, we are now launching an 18 day plan to raise $18,000, so we can send the 1000 filters as quickly as possible. Volunteers are waiting to distribute them.

Please help us help the people of Nepal.

Throwback Thursday. Watch what RipplAffect and Project Propel were able to do in The Philippines 2026 – Impact at a Glance

In 2026, RipplAffect continued expanding access to clean, safe drinking water throughout the Philippines through our valued partnership with Project Propel.

Through this major initiative, 1,550 Sawyer water filtration systems were distributed, reaching 26 municipalities and communities across Metro Manila and 23 additional provinces and cities. The program is estimated to serve more than 13,000 people, including children, families, students, teachers, schools, and underserved communities where reliable access to safe drinking water remains a daily challenge.

The initiative has reached communities across Metro Manila, Laguna, Cavite, Mindoro Occidental, Batangas, Quezon Province, Pangasinan, Palawan, Rizal, Bulacan, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Albay, Sorsogon, and other areas of the Philippines.

Beyond distribution, this project includes education on proper filter use, demonstrations, follow-up visits, backwashing and maintenance training, and direct conversations with beneficiary families to help ensure the filtration systems continue providing safe drinking water for years to come.

This video shares the project’s Impact at a Glance, including distribution locations, project photos, community follow-ups, beneficiary interviews, and the people whose lives are being changed through access to clean water.
