Cybersecurity is no longer just a technical issue.

It’s part of modern conflict.

Federal agencies like the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency and Federal Bureau of Investigation continue to warn of increased cyber activity targeting U.S. critical infrastructure: energy, water, healthcare, and local government systems.

These aren’t theoretical risks.
They are active threats.

And when disruption happens, the consequences are immediate:
• Services impacted
• Operations disrupted
• Public trust shaken

At our May meeting, Netta Squires of Open District Solutions will address the growing intersection of cybersecurity and public safety and what organizations must do to be ready.

This isn’t about compliance.
It’s about readiness.

The question isn’t "If".
It’s whether you’re prepared.

Join us May 20th.

Cybersecurity is no longer just an IT issue.

It’s part of modern conflict.

Since the start of U.S. military operations involving Iran, cyber activity targeting U.S. critical infrastructure has escalated, impacting energy, water, healthcare, and local governments.

They are active threats.

Last month, we trained attackers.

Now, it’s time to train defenders.

Following the success of our Certified Red Team Fundamentals workshop, GoCyber Collective is teaming up with CyberproAI to bring you the next step:

Inside SOC: Critical Blue Team Operations

This isn’t a lecture.
This is a live, hands-on experience.

You’ll step into the role of a SOC analyst inside a simulated organization under attack, working to identify how the breach started, how it spread, and how to stop it.

Your Take-Aways:
- Track initial access
- Follow lateral movement
- Understand attacker behavior
- Analyze endpoints using Splunk

Date: July 8, 2026
Time: 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Place: 201 Tyler Way, Moraine, OH, 45439
Price: $999 (includes donuts, coffee, & lunch)

Because the difference between a security alert and a full-scale breach is how your team responds in the moment.

Train for that moment.

Cyberattacks aren’t just IT incidents anymore.

They’re public safety threats.

As geopolitical tensions rise, U.S. critical infrastructure is increasingly being targeted, and when those systems are disrupted, the impact reaches far beyond the network.

At our May meeting, Netta Squires will deliver a keynote on the growing intersection of cybersecurity and real-world consequence.

This is about more than protecting systems.
It’s about protecting services, operations, and the communities that depend on them.

The question isn’t if.
It’s whether we’re ready.

What if identity could no longer be faked?

We’ve built cybersecurity around passwords and credentials—but those are exactly what attackers target.

What if trust wasn’t assumed… but proven?

At our April 15th meeting, Marc Ricker will introduce iVALT—technology that replaces traditional credentials with cryptographically verified, human-bound identities, securing not just access, but the data itself.

This isn’t a small step forward.
It’s a new way to think about identity and trust.

If you care about where cybersecurity is headed, you’ll want to be in the room.

Your GPS says you’re on course.
Your systems say everything is fine.

But what if the data is wrong?

Navigation spoofing is real—and it’s impacting aviation, maritime, and critical infrastructure right now.

Join us for SparkSprints: Spoofing, an interactive event with the Digital Transformation Center and GoCyber Collective.

Start with real-world insight into spoofing threats and detection. Then step into a live scenario where your team must decide what to trust—and what to question.

Because in the real world, one bad decision can change everything.

Think fast. Trust wisely.

Identity is now the most targeted layer in cybersecurity — and the most exploited.

Stolen credentials and impersonation continue to drive today’s biggest breaches, yet many organizations are still operating on assumed trust.

At our April meeting, Marc Ricker from iVALT will introduce a different approach — provable trust. You read that right... PROVABLE.

iVALT replaces passwords with cryptographically verified identities and extends protection to the data itself, keeping sensitive documents and critical information secure even after they leave your network.

This isn’t a product pitch. It’s a look at where identity security is heading.

If you’re responsible for protecting systems, data, or risk… this is a conversation you should be part of.

Make sure you are in the room. Click here to register: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/gocyber-collective-monthly-meeting-tickets-1096401128289?aff=oddtdtcreator

Last week’s GoCyber Collective meeting delivered exactly the kind of conversation our region needs right now.

A big thank you to Ken Fanger for a powerful keynote that challenged us to rethink how we approach cybersecurity—not as a checklist, but as an adaptive, evolving discipline. His message was clear: if we don’t change how we think, we’ll keep falling behind.

We’re also grateful to the FBI for a critical threat briefing that underscored the reality of today’s landscape. As global tensions rise, cyberattacks are increasing—and our communities are not immune. Awareness and preparedness are no longer optional.

Now, we look ahead.

In April, Marc Ricker from iVALT will introduce a fundamentally different approach to identity and data security—moving from assumed trust to provable trust. This could be a game-changer in how organizations protect systems and how consumers engage in a digital world.

The conversation is evolving. Make sure you’re in the room.

Cyber threats targeting local governments are accelerating.

Ransomware attacks against municipalities, schools, utilities, and public safety agencies are rising — while security teams are being asked to do more with less.

But the biggest challenge may not be the tools.

It may be the way we’re thinking about cybersecurity.

Next week at GoCyber Collective, Ken Fanger will challenge conventional security thinking and introduce a framework built for today’s reality: adaptive adversaries, AI-accelerated attacks, and shrinking response windows.

If your organization feels like it’s working harder every year but not getting ahead of the threat…

This is a conversation you should be in.

Two weeks.

That’s how long until we have a different conversation about cybersecurity.

Right now, many organizations are stuck fighting on two fronts — relentless attackers on the outside, frustrated users on the inside.

More tools.
More alerts.
More friction.

But not necessarily more security.

The problem may not be what you’re using.
It may be how you’re thinking.

In two weeks, Ken Fanger will challenge conventional cybersecurity strategy and introduce a resilience-focused framework built for an evolving threat landscape — not a quarterly scoreboard.

If your team is working harder but not feeling safer, this conversation matters.

It’s time to rethink the game.

Join us.
