Yesterday, our President Juan D’Arce proudly participated in the quarterly 21st Century Schools Bond Advisory Committee meeting as a voting member, representing the Spanish American League Against Discrimination (SALAD).

At SALAD, we are deeply committed to education and to making sure our students learn in safe, modern schools that support strong teaching and real opportunities for success. During yesterday’s meeting, the committee reviewed the General Obligation Bond (GOB) program, project updates, and how funds are being used to improve school facilities across Miami‑Dade.

We believe in meritocracy for our students and accountability to the taxpayers who make these projects possible. SALAD will continue to be at the table, asking tough questions and advocating for responsible decisions that put students’ education first.

Ayer, nuestro presidente Juan D’Arce participó con orgullo en la reunión trimestral del 21st Century Schools Bond Advisory Committee, donde sirve como miembro con derecho a voto en representación de la Spanish American League Against Discrimination (SALAD).

En SALAD estamos profundamente comprometidos con la educación y con asegurar que nuestros estudiantes aprendan en escuelas seguras, modernas y orientadas al logro académico. Durante la reunión de ayer, el comité revisó el programa del Bono de Obligación General (GOB), el avance de los proyectos y el uso de los fondos para mejorar las instalaciones escolares en todo Miami‑Dade.

Creemos en la meritocracia para nuestros estudiantes y en la responsabilidad absoluta hacia los contribuyentes que hacen posibles estos proyectos. SALAD continuará presente en estas mesas de trabajo, haciendo las preguntas difíciles y defendiendo decisiones responsables que pongan la educación de los estudiantes en primer lugar.
