The future of the Miami Center for Mental Health & Recovery depends on us.

On Tuesday, June 16 at 9:30 AM, a vote will be held at the Miami-Dade County Commission Chambers to approve the operating plan for the Miami Center for Mental Health & Recovery. This is a critical step toward opening a facility that will provide treatment, recovery services, hope, and support for our community.

This is more than a vote. It’s an opportunity to show that Miami believes in solutions, recovery, and treating mental illness with care, dignity, and compassion.

We need advocates, community members, families, providers, and supporters to show up and make their voices heard.

Join us for an important workshop on the Miami Center for Mental Health and Recovery.

We want to thank Commissioner Lopez for her thoughtful leadership and her commitment to vote in support of the Miami Center for Mental Health and Recovery. Her decision reflects a clear understanding of both the human and fiscal urgency of opening this long-awaited facility.

We also appreciate the Commission Chair’s agreement to allow Commissioner Lopez’s committee to hold a workshop on the project. Providing an opportunity to further educate and engage Commissioners is an important step forward.
The Center is built, funded, and ready to open. Each step toward a full vote brings us closer to delivering a solution that will improve public safety, reduce homelessness, and use taxpayer dollars far more effectively.
