We’re honored to share that Beacon Council President & CEO Rodrick Miller was recognized at the World Trade Center Miami’s 40th Anniversary Celebration on December 4 at the Biltmore Hotel.

The Miami-Dade Beacon Council received the Founders Award, acknowledging the organization’s pivotal role in shaping the strategic vision that led to the creation of the World Trade Center Miami nearly four decades ago. Our early recommendations in the mid-1980s — calling for a consolidated international business center — helped define Miami’s path as a global trade and business hub.

We are proud of this legacy and grateful to the World Trade Center Miami for this meaningful recognition. As Miami’s economy continues to grow and globalize, we remain committed to strengthening the international ecosystem our community helped build.

Miami-Dade County continues to lead the nation in employment numbers. 📈

From March 2024 to March 2025, employment in Miami-Dade County grew 1.9%— the largest over-the-year job growth among the 10 largest counties in the United States.

This momentum reflects the strength of our local businesses, the talent powering our economy, and the continued investment across key sectors that make Miami-Dade a global hub for opportunity.
