Finding words to express thanks for a donation so helpful to us isn't easy. This past year I have had the honor to meet some of Mr. Joe Wades family. Mr. Wade had a passion for helping kids in foster care. His family wants to continue honoring his memory by helping those that work with foster kids. 👨‍🦲🧑🏿‍🦲👩👩‍🦰🧑‍🦰🧑🏾‍🦰👩👩‍🦱🧑‍🦱👩🏿‍🦰 We were chosen as one of those places this year. For us, it's not just about the donation. We met an amazing family with amazing hearts. Their passion, love and drive has be renewing. I found someone that matches my energy and maybe just as crazy 🤪 🥰 🔸️🔸️🔸️🔸️🔸️ Patricia & Pat , I want to thank you for all your help and friendship. For your encouragement and support. I can't describe how much that means to me. Knowing how much the late Mr. Wade means to your family and how much his legacy means, makes me want to work harder than ever. To make you proud and to honor his life as well. I look forward to future plans and so many more laughs. ➡️. Special thanks to Willer for the introduction. You're amazing.

We would like to introduce and post an update of our board members.

First we want to thank our previous members for their years of contribution and support.
Kerri Smith-Ferrari , Jennifer Chism , Cortney Lynn
You guys are amazing ladies and we appreciate you all so much.

Our new board president is Robbie Reed. He was previously acting as board treasurer. Robbie is owner of Central Metals Recycling. He brings his business knowledge and ideas to aid in the day to day running of Angel Wings.

Our board vice president is Amy Webber. She has previously been acting on the board to help with event planning. We are excited that she will continue to help Angel Wings grow.

Our board treasurer is now Roberta Replogle. She was previously acting as board secretary. Roberta has been with Angel Wings since conception of the idea. We love and appreciate all she does.

Our newest board member comes from Wentzville. Patricia Wade will be our board secretary. Patricia has been volunteering for over a year. Her energy and devotion made her a great fit for us. We look forward to her fresh ideas and excitement.

We can't forget our long time board member Chris Newbrough, who is sitting on the board as our grant writer and advisor.

It takes so much work to have events and daily running of Angel Wings. We couldn't do it without our fierce board members and community.

We had our first annual back to school event Saturday. What an amazing event too! We had some great volunteers that made this event epic!!!!

Thank you Alexis and Julia for doing hair and teaching some great tips. Alexis is one of our kiddos that are beating the odds. She was going through some incredibly difficult times when we first met her. She now has finished cosmetology school and soon will be taking her license test. Congrats Lexi and keep up the great work. Thank you for coming back to help us.

Thank you to our great friend and supporter Angela Boster who has been in our cheering group for many years. She is well educated in makeup and skincare. She is in the movie genre and has many movies under her IMdB page as a director and makeup artist. Sure an incredible talent to come hang out with us and give the kids tips on makeup.

Thank you to Drake Tipton, licensed counselor with Counseling & Wellness in Mexico. Mr Drake works with works with children and adolescents of all ages, and kids in the foster system. He brought great ideas for kids to handle situations that could arise at school.

Thank you to Missionary Baptist Church in Mexico MO for bringing walking tacos for lunch. It was the first time some of them got to try them. They came back for 2nds and 3rds. Yummy!!!

Thank you Ash Renee StayWildest for bringing your sweet babies for us to learn about. Now I need one. Lol.... such a great experience for us to learn and see them up close. Thank you Ash and Carrie! Great job

Thank you Mario Garcia and Lucas for bringing your GIANT baby dinosaur! Holy turtle! He's huge! He was so cool and we loved learning about him and watching him chow down! Very grateful, thank you.

Thank you United Home Loads Columbia Mo for donation of items to include hair care products, body spray, lip care products, bath products, makeup and thank you cards. The kids LOVED the options and enjoyed picking out their favorite stuff. As always Michelle Bodine thank you for thinking of us!

Thank you to our volunteers that made it to help love on all the kids, Missy, Patricia, Pat, and Roberta. We couldn't do this without you.

To the kids that attended. My FAVORITE part will always be you. Seeing you smile, seeing you walk through the doors nervously and leaving looking 10 feet taller and so much more confident. Till the next time, know you are loved and will always have a place to go.

Reminder..... next weekend.... we will be having our back to school event. We are super excited for this time with the kiddos.

Great time for some respite and fun for them. We will have some SUPER excited guests with some VERY cool friends. You won't want to miss out. Must be registered to attend. That helps us know how much food to have on hand.
