We extend our sincerest condolences on the passing of Maggie Hawkins, and we are certain she will be profoundly missed by many. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family during this difficult time.

It is true that the pain of loss is something that cannot be easily mended, but the cherished memories of love remain forever.

To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die.

Lorelai Kuecker, from "Pigs in a Blanket," is a remarkably energetic individual who consistently seeks to learn and implement new techniques. She graciously shared with us the trajectory of her quilting and fashion design career. Her journey into quilting began when she discovered a collection of her great-great-grandmother's fabric scraps, and she has been dedicated to it ever since. Currently, she is venturing into innovative territory with fitted quilted garments that are truly extraordinary.

At the young age of 17, Lorelai is already making a significant impact in the quilting and fashion industries. Her progression, from meticulously sewing straight lines on her grandmother's machine to showcasing quilted fashion at QuiltCon 2025, exemplifies a profound dedication to creativity and perseverance. Through her brands, Pigs in a Blanket Quilting and her fashion label Lorelai Raeshe, she is inspiring a new generation of creators to pursue ambitious dreams and expand their quilting endeavors.

Hey, for those of you making Carl Hentch's "A New Barn Raising" top, if you haven't figured it out yet, the book says to make 8 green log cabin blocks 2, but you actually need to make 12. I'm not making any more pieced blocks myself. I'm just putting in a 10-1/2" piece of my background fabric. I like that it'll give the pattern a circular design.
