Audrain Developmental Disability Services

Audrain Developmental Disability Services "Creating a Better Life for Audrain County Citizens" ADDS was established in 1978.

Audrain Developmental Disability Services (ADDS) provides services and resources for individuals with developmental disabilities who live in and around Audrain County. We believe that individuals with developmental disabilities have the right to self-determination and to lead a life with quality and to have opportunities for community inclusion. ADDS services are designed to create appropriate opt

ions that address the individual needs of each person served while encouraging growth and social interaction in the Audrain County community and the surrounding area. ADDS administers funding authorized through Senate Bill 40 – state legislation passed in 1969 that allows counties to levy a tax for funds to be used for services for individuals with a developmental disability such as Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, autism, epilepsy, certain learning disabilities, etc. ADDS serves individuals with developmental disabilities as determined by the Missouri Department of Mental Health – Division of Developmental Disabilities. The disability must have occurred before age 22, with the expectation that the disability is life-long and the individual must be substantially limited in their ability to function independently.
