Ever since Christianity entered China, it has encountered many stumbling blocks: language barriers, clash of civilizations, foreign distrusts, internal persecution. Jesus says in Matthew 11, “From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven has suffered violence, and the violent take it by force.”
The mission to expand the Kingdom of God into new territories is often slow and discouraging, but Jesus also promised to be with his people to the ends of the world. This month, we are going to talk about several major stumbling blocks that make believing in Jesus difficult in China.
