Ruthie Santiago Productions Emotion-focused music & audio production, community event hosting and performance. / PHX / My journey started in a family of artists and musicians.

From a young age, I was immersed in music, starting with church and school. I sang in choirs, performed in musicals, played in cover bands, and directed worship at churches for over 20 years. My passion for music took me around the globe on missions, bringing music and support to communities in need. I’ve always loved art, especially graphic design. I started helping my dad with his ministry graph

ics at the age of 12 and later got into video editing and production for an independent film. This led to volunteering with other organizations and working in a print company’s design department after college. Prior to moving across the country to start medical school in 2017, I started writing my own songs, found a local recording studio to record them and released an EP. While in medical school, I continued to write music, released singles, and pursued my passion for design. In 2023, I began producing my own music and for other independent artists. Even while pursuing and completing my doctorate in naturopathic medicine, I never gave up on what makes me feel nourished and alive. Medical school taught me so much about the human body, listening, holding space, and collaborating on supportive solutions. I am grateful that from a young age and through my life experience, I was encouraged to think outside the box when it came to what I love, what I’m good at, what the world needs, and what can sustain me financially (think “Ikigai”!). Today, I blend all my skills — music, design, and a holistic approach toward living — to offer comprehensive services to bring your visions to life. Let’s create something amazing together!

I released my song, “this question” two years ago as a letter to my family after coming out to them and feeling the pain and distance after not feeling accepted.

I had the opportunity to create this studio version of the song in April as part of .network Followership Summit in OKC. What a blessed time that was, being around fellow professional and badass theologians who have come from diverse faith backgrounds and coming together to remember the bigger picture of Love.

The months of May and June have been interesting for me, being Asian and also q***r. Having two months during which I see content saturated about my culture and identity has me especially reflective of how much life has changed and I have evolved. The last six months has been WILD, I tell you. And I am reminded that Love is so strong. And I am grateful for the different ways in which love shows up - sometimes it means holding on, sometimes it means letting go.

Please listen to this song and let the words sink deeply in your hearts. And PLEASE SEND it to someone who needs the encouragement - that there CAN be multiple realities within love.

This is a cozy, listening-room open mic centered on music, instrumentals, and songwriting. Whether it’s your first time performing or you’re a seasoned artist, you’re invited to share your songs in an intimate, supportive space built for connection and creativity. 

Performers:
- 10 spots available (first come, first served)
- Originals and covers are welcome ✨ 
- 2–3 songs or 7 minutes max (we may cycle through again if time allows)
- Anyone who signs up receives a FREE drink!
