Sweet Gerald one of our Egyptian fruit bats visited our wonderful veterinarian Dr. Breaux for medical concerns. He will be ok but time will tell if he’s experiencing permanent issues. Please send some love to our Gerry boy ❤️

🚨update🚨

Thank you so much to our amazing community for stepping up when we need you most. We are incredibly grateful and honored by this amazing response. This post was a plea for help during an unprecedented start to the busiest time of the year for us. We haven’t had a chance to put any information on the website but will soon.

In the meantime here is the link for the volunteer transport application.

We are in dire need of help transporting injured, orphaned and distressed bats to one of our three locations (Dauphin, Shippensburg, Mertztown). You do not need to be rabies vaccinated. Bats are contained and secured by the finder per our protocols. Your help is invaluable and saves lives. Consider helping us to help them ❤️

Remember the three baby eastern red bats born to our head trauma red? They have just started flight school two days ago and are quite tired from all of the hard work of flying. We adore them so much and feel honored to watch them grow ❤️ soon momma and babies will be flying the night sky for the first time.

Our beautiful Krimpet is making her rounds ❤️ Krimpet was a window strike bat who recovered after some time with us and was released a few years ago. But seriously, look at that epic floof!!

Repost by • Too sweet! It’s so we ordered a box of donuts for the office but somehow a bunch of bats got mixed in. Has this happened to anyone else?? 🦇😵‍💫

How is Barnabas Collins enjoying retirement? He’s enjoying his quite days hanging upside down in his fleece hammock accepting hand fed mealworm snacks 🥰

Special thank you to for your incredible partnership and .collective for hosting and sharing your time and space with us, and supporting our efforts. Thank you to each and every person who attended, donated and received new skin art 🥰🦇 you are amazing!

Repost from .collective Wow, what a fantastic turnout for our PA Bat Rehab flash tattoo fundraiser! We had over 70 signups by 4pm, and had to spill over into the following day- THANK YOU everyone for your support. And of course, a huge thank you to for coming down and educating us all on the importance of these lovely creatures.

Poor big brown boy was found hanging by his wing from a J-channel. Thankfully licensed capture/transport volunteer Barbara was close by and immediately rushed over to help. He was safely and gently removed and transported to our facility. He sustained an abrasion and tissue damage but thankfully no fractures. He will be with us for a few weeks, but we anticipate a full recovery.

We are so thankful for caring individuals and our wonderful team of volunteers ❤️

*Cannoli Update* we are beyond grateful for the many kind messages and posts asking about sweet Cannoli. Thank you for taking time out of your day to ask about this little red floof. As for Cannoli, we didn’t provide much of an update not because we didn’t want to, her condition was dire. As she started to present signs of improvement, we were left wondering what happened in the last 48 hours. She started declining and prognosis is still very guarded. We had seen some small improvements in the last few hours. A surprised we learned today, sweet Cannoli is pregnant. We will try to keep everyone posted, but for now she needs all the rest, quiet and positivity. She is fighting not only for herself but her unborn pups. We hope the coming days will bring better news.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being invested in the precious girl ❤️
