Cub Scout Pack 575 of Longswamp, PA

100 Years of Scouting All children from Kindergarten through fifth grade are welcome to join. The ideals the Scouting program teaches are timeless.

Scouting is a great opportunity to spend quality time learning and adventuring together! Our pack likes to put the "Outing" in Scouting and we try hard to have as many adventures through the scouting year as possible. We are involved in: Community service, camping, crafting, building, launching rockets, riding on our own scout mobiles, and racing derby cars, to name a few. Scouting builds respect

for others, character, fitness and leadership and so much more. Scouting helps youth become their best future selves. It prepares them for life! The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law. Cub Scout Pack 575 is chartered by Saint Paul's Lutheran Church of Mertztown, and we belong to Hawk Mountain Council (https://hmc-bsa.org/). Tonight, Cub Scout Pack 575 had the opportunity to give back to the community that supports us. Our Scouts helped plant flowers and mulch at the Pioneer Grange #1777 as a thank you for allowing us to use the Grange for our pack events.

We’re proud to teach our scouts the importance of community service, teamwork, and showing appreciation to those who support local organizations like ours. Thank you to everyone who came out and helped make the property look beautiful tonight!

Rain or shine, our scouts keep moving forward!

Today, Longswamp Cub Scout Pack 575 held a rank advancement ceremony, celebrating all the hard work and growth this past year. It was great to see each scout take the next step in their journey.

A big thank you to our families and den leaders for their time, support, and dedication each week—your commitment helps make these achievements possible.

Congratulations to all of our scouts on their rank advancement—we can’t wait to see what you accomplish next!

Tonight our Scouts had a special visitor! Officer Breitenstein and K-9 Zea stopped by to teach us about police K-9s, their training, and the important jobs they do. The Scouts loved asking questions and seeing K-9 Zea in action. Thank you for spending the evening with us and for all you do to keep our community safe!

Tonight the scouts worked together to pack 4 complete Thanksgiving meal boxes for local families in need. They even decorated each box with their own artwork to make them extra special.

📦 Scouting for Food 2025! 🥫

If you received one of these tags at your house, our Scouts are asking for your help to collect food for our local food bank, Helping Harvest!

Simply attach the tag to a bag filled with non-perishable food items (like canned goods, pasta, cereal, or soup) and place it by your mailbox by Saturday, November 8th.

Members of Troop 575 will be coming around to collect the donations that morning.

Every can counts — thank you for supporting Scouting and helping local families in need! 💛💙
