Check it out! All our additional museums are open today (5/31/26) from 1pm thru 4pm for you to explore and learn about the history of Mercer County!

Go for a drive along Route 58 and visit our little red schoolhouse across from the Delaware Cemetery and learn about attending school in the 1800s.

Or if farming is more your interest, drive to the Munnell Run Farm on Route 58 and visit our Rural Life Museum. We have a lot of new displays including a huge collection of milk bottles from dairy farms across Mercer County. (Thanks David Kaulen!)

If you’re over in the Sharpsville area, visit our Raisch Log Cabin by the old Erie Canal lock. It’s original and rustic just like your ancestors lived 200 years ago.

Are you near French Creek? Take a drive to the Custaloga Town Scout Reservation and see the Native American Burial Ground.

Whatever you choose to do, you won’t be disappointed! All our museums are always free to visit and available for everyone to enjoy!

Does anyone know?
We are looking for information about when Route 18's path was changed between Clark and Hermitage. As late as 1942, it was along Valley View Road, from Lamont's Corners to Clarksville (Clark). A new road for Route 18 was built between the two locations sometime before 1951. Does anyone know an exact date that the construction happened?
Thank you!
