Greetings to all of our friends near and far,

After much prayer, thought, and consideration, the FOSEA team has determined that the end of 2019 brings the end of an era for the organization.

Thank you all for the journeys we have taken together, the work we have accomplished and the friendships fostered. In the fifteen years that we have partnered to serve communities across the Southeast, we have watched children grow up, industries come and go, and dear friends pass on. As many wise individuals have remarked over the years, the only constant is change.

While we will continue to prayerfully support the people of Southeast Alaska and would love to see your smiling faces should you ever venture to our necks of the woods, FOSEA is no longer the organization to meet the evolving needs of the communities.

We wish you all the best with your future endeavors.

Our VBS program will be traveling to Ancient Athens this summer to learn about Paul's Adventures and train for the Olympics! Registration will open in May!

We've got dates! FOSEA will be traveling to Sitka this summer June 24 - July 3! Community VBS will be held Sunday thru Thursday (June 26-30)

Hey there FOSEA Posse! Long time, no post. We're working on a website update, so keep your eyes open! We'll be posting trip info for next summer soon, just waiting on the ferry schedule!

In the meantime if you're in NW PA and need a FOSEA fix we'll be at Christmas in Cochranton the weekend before Thanksgiving.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire community of Sitka and most especially to those families waiting for news of their loved ones. Please keep the rescue workers and all effected by these landslides in your prayers.

So in case you're wondering we did make it back to the lower 48 safe and sound. Spending this week battling jet lag, next week we'll dive into our notes and start making plans for the future!

Riding the newest ferry in the fleet today. The Chenega fast ferry has been running since 2008 but this is our first trip on her!

Ten years ago this summer FOSEA took it's first trip to Kake. Returning here yesterday to plan for future trips and see all they've done in the last few years since our last trip was fantastic. The views from the deck never disappoint and Pator Joey and his family are delightful.
