Located 50 miles east of the Minnesota/Wisconsin border, Menomonie has a population of 15,244. The chamber was chartered in 1938 and has a current membership of approximately 500 members. The Greater Menomonie Area Chamber & Visitor Center works diligently to provide services that are of interest and value of our members and the community. Members are directly involved in the development and evalu

ation of programs to ensure that activities are relevant and services keep pace with current member needs and issues. Social Media Comment Policy

We've seen some questions and discussion regarding the tourism economic impact numbers we shared earlier this week. The original post was removed so we could provide additional context and answer some of the questions that were raised.

The short version: Tourism generated $100 million in economic impact in Dunn County in 2025, supported 781 jobs, and brought $58.3 million in direct visitor spending to local businesses.

Tourism remains an important part of our local economy. Like any industry, tourism numbers can fluctuate from year to year for many reasons.
