EID MUBARAK:
EID UL ADHA, a remembrance to the Sunnah of (Ibrahim) Abraham (A.S.).
Eid al-Adha (Arabic: عيد الأضحى "festival of sacrifice"), also called Feast of the Sacrifice, the Major Festival,the Greater Eid and Id-ul-Zuha,is an important 4-day religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide to honor the willingness of ʾIbrāhīm A.S. (Prophet Abraham peace be upon him) to sacrifice his young firstborn son Ismā'īl A.S.(Ishmael) as an act of submission to God, before God intervened to provide him with a ram to sacrifice instead.
As a reward for this sacrifice, God then granted Abraham the good news of the birth of his second son, Is-haaq (Isaac):
And We gave him the good news of Is-haaq, a prophet from among the righteous.[ Al Quran].
Hajj concludes on this day, the fifth pillar of Islam.It is Muslim pilgrimage to Makkah that takes place in the last month of the year, and that all Muslims are expected to make at least once during their lifetime which cleanse them of their sins.
