The final days of Ignite Camp is always full of celebration, joy, and a few tears.
We wrapped up our teaching through Ephesians, and watching these students connect God’s Word, how to truly read it, understand it, and apply to their own lives was such a gift. Their questions, reflections, and faith continue to inspire us.
Then came one of the most meaningful moments of the week: five kids were baptized. Because many of our students don’t have regular opportunities to make this public declaration of faith, these moments are incredibly special. What an honor to witness lives marked by courage and commitment to Jesus.
Of course, no final day would be complete without the legendary Branch Battle tug-of-war. It was loud, competitive, and absolutely unforgettable. Congratulations again to Absko, our 2026 Camp Champions!
As we closed another year of camp, we found ourselves overwhelmed with gratitude. Gratitude to our incredible American team that jumped in every where and formed relationships that will change the kids lives forever. To our Scholar Camp Staff-y’all are top notch and we love seeing you grow in your leadership. To our incredible Kenyan staff: thank you for leading with wisdom, serving with humility, loving these students so faithfully, and carrying this vision all year long. Camp could not be what it is without your hard work and diligence towards these kids.
One of the greatest gifts of Ignite Camp is that it doesn’t feel like a program. It feels like family. Across cultures, languages, and continents, God continues to knit together something so much bigger than ourselves. A family that doesn’t quite make sense on paper, one that none of us could have predicted but one we cannot live without. What a gift.
Until next time.
