Just look at all these amazing donations! 🐶

We want to give a very special shoutout to the Silver Sombrero Sisters at First Methodist Church in Frisco for organizing an incredible pet supply donation drive for Cooper's Corner Pet Kennel at The Samaritan Inn!

From dog food and treats to cozy beds, toys, leashes, collars, grooming supplies, and so much more, these wonderful ladies truly went above and beyond for our pups! We are incredibly grateful for their generosity, kindness, and support. Donations like these make such a difference in helping us provide a safe, comfortable, and loving environment for the pets in our care. ❤️

A little creativity can make a BIG impact! 🥫

A huge thank you to Bill Hengstenberg at Feet First Entertainment and Taxwell/Drake Software for including The Samaritan Inn in their recent team-building event, “Michael-CAN-Gelo!”

Teams put their creativity to work using cans of food to build replicas of world-famous landmarks, then gave entertaining presentations to showcase their masterpieces. But the best part came after the winner was crowned: all 50 cases of canned goods were donated to The Samaritan Inn Shelter and Food Pantry!

We’re so grateful for community partners who find fun and meaningful ways to give back. These donations will help provide food for our neighbors experiencing homelessness and food insecurity throughout our community.

Exciting news! Cooper’s Corner at The Samaritan Inn now has an official Chewy Wish List, making it easier than ever to support our four-legged residents! 🐶💙

At Cooper’s Corner, we believe no one should have to choose between finding safe shelter and staying with their beloved pet. Our on-site kennel helps keep families together while they work toward stability and independence.

But caring for our pups takes a village, and we need your help stocking up on essential supplies!

🛒 Shop our NEW Chewy Wish List! We've handpicked the items we need most, including food, supplies, preventatives, and comfort items. Shopping directly from our wish list ensures we're receiving the specific supplies our pups need, delivered right to our door!

When trusted advisors and nonprofits come together, the impact can extend far beyond a single conversation. 💙

In September, our Chief Development Officer, Kellie Maynard, joined Communities Foundation of Texas for its 2026 Advisory Council Breakfast, “From Referral to Real Impact: The Growing Impact of Advisor Client Referrals on North Texas Nonprofits.”

Alongside fellow panelists, Kellie spoke with members of CFT’s Advisory Council and wealth management community about the important role professional advisors can play in connecting their clients with causes that reflect their values, and how those relationships can create meaningful, lasting impact for North Texas nonprofits.

Kellie closed the conversation by sharing the story of a former Samaritan Inn resident she recently met who now owns his own garage door company. More than 20 years after his time as a resident, he shared how deeply that experience shaped his journey and the life he has built today.

Stories like his are a powerful reminder that the impact of giving isn’t always measured in days or dollars. Sometimes, its impact is still being felt decades later.

Thank you to Communities Foundation of Texas for inviting The Samaritan Inn to be part of this important conversation and for bringing together people committed to creating lasting change in our community.

What an incredible show of support for children and families in our community!

A huge thank you to McNeese Kids for their generous $114,000 donation following the 6th Annual McNeese Kids Golf Tournament at The Clubs of Stonebridge Ranch, benefiting The Samaritan Inn and Jonathan's Place.

McNeese Kids is dedicated to serving children and families facing hunger, homelessness, abuse and neglect, and we are incredibly grateful to be part of a community that shares our commitment to helping families build brighter, more stable futures.

Together, we can create a stronger community where children and their families are housed, fed, safe, connected to the resources they need and treated with the dignity they deserve.
