Music in the Park is coming back! 🎶

We are getting ready for another summer of Thursday nights at Pierson Park with live music, food trucks, friends, families, lawn chairs, blankets, dancing kids, and that good McKinleyville summer energy.

The 2026 season kicks off Thursday, June 18.

We’re so excited to welcome Umami Sushi & Japanese Kitchen to McKinleyville! 🍣

Jaime’s story is one of those you just love… he started at Sushi Spot as a teenager washing dishes, and now he’s opening his own restaurant in the same community. Such a cool full circle moment.

After talking with Jaime and his team, you can really feel how much heart is going into this place. It’s going to be a great addition to our community.

Three years ago today, on April 28, 2023, we had the pleasure of celebrating the beautiful remodel and upgrade of Blue Lake Casino Hotel with a special ribbon cutting ceremony.

It was such a fun afternoon, and three years later this destination continues to be a place our region can be proud of. With spacious and comfortable rooms, dining, entertainment, and a welcoming atmosphere, they’ve created a wonderful experience for both locals and visitors alike.

If you haven’t enjoyed a staycation there yet, we highly recommend it. And when friends or family come to visit Humboldt County, be sure to keep Blue Lake Casino Hotel in mind.

Happy 3 year anniversary, and thank you for being such a valued community partner.

Cheers to 10 Years!

At our April McKinleyville Chamber Mixer, we were proud to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of the McKinleyville Teen Center alongside the Boys & Girls Club of the Redwoods and McKinleyville Community Services District.

More than 40 businesses and organizations were represented, with around 70 attendees joining us for an evening of networking, connection, fun, and community celebration.

Thank you to everyone who came out and helped make it such a great night. McKinleyville continues to grow stronger through partnerships and people coming together.
