Creekview Council

Creekview Council Creekview Councils is the area council for HSU Creekview living area. They meet Tuesdays at 7 in the lounge.

The Creekview Council is the Area Council for the Creekview Residence Hall. CVC represents its area’s interest to the Residence Hall Association and also contributes to the community it represents.

RHA BINGO IS THIS SUNDAY IN THE J, DOORS OPEN AT 7:30pm!!
any resident (CAs yes that means you) can win some great prizes, a bike worth $330, 4GB xbox 360, a basket of local Humboldt food worth $200 and weights about 40lb, and other things.
As a resident you get 1 free card and if you bring none perishable foods you get 1 more bingo card per item

Minutes: November 1, 2011

Call to Order: 7:05 P.M.
Orders of Business
I. Haunted JGC.. a. General Consensus: Overall, it went well. People did well in arriving for their designated time slots.
b. Revisions for next time: Get more pumpkins as we ran out fairly quickly, and get more decorations for the room

II. ProgDB
a. Sam and Hillary are the only ones who have signed up thus far; the rest of the officers are required to sign up.
b. Sheets of paper with the link were handed out to the officers present.

III. Supplies for the Lounge
a. Rose: A building on campus near the library where office supplies are free for students. Thus, it is not necessary to purchase binders for the officers.

IV. “Study Bucks”
a. Status: We have them and they are signed, but we need to request funds for two prizes.
b. Prize ideas: First, let it be noted that we will be sharing the prize with cypress. Second, next week we will move to allocate fifty dollars for a gift card to Wildberries. Furthermore, we need to see what people think about this idea in Cypress.

V. Environmental Goals
a. Kirk: Desires to separate can and glass recycling bins, would also like to have kitchen compost bags for every suite.
b. Follow up: We will all ask around to see what other residents think of the compost bag idea.

VI. Facebook/ Gmail/ Twitter
a. Kirk made a Creekview page for these different forms of social networks. We need to email Sean Burns to ask him to delete the old Creekview page.

VII. Community Time
a. Sam: Wants to serve pasta in December for her community time.

VIII. Stealing Batteries
a. Becca will look into how the stealing of batteries from the television remotes was dealt with in the past; from there, we will take further action.
