Hey Fam,
It's with a heavy heart that we've made the decision for the safety of our community to cancel our campout, scheduled for August 28th - 30th 2026, due to fire burning in the immediate Hoopa area.
While evacuation orders for the campground itself were just lifted hours ago, the fire is still burning and at 40% containment.
Unfortunately, even containment does not help improve impacted air quality, and the situation could change at a moment's notice. For this reason we have decided it is best to cancel and reschedule this trip for a future date; likely in 2027.
We will hold our RSVP list and reach out directly to those who had previously confirmed once new dates are chosen; giving priority registration to those previously registered. We are disappointed to be postponing, but truly feel that the community's health and safety must remain the top priority.
The Hoopa community is in need of support so if you are able to support please see the next slide for ways to support and help with their relief and aid.
