Black Humboldt is building a team of community members who are ready to help make sure our voices are heard in the upcoming November 3, 2026 election, and we would love for you to be part of it!
Black Humboldt is recruiting Grassroots Leaders to join our Fall Civic Engagement Program. As a Grassroots Leader, you can help connect with voters, share voting information, encourage community members to make a voting plan, and create opportunities for people to participate in the election process.
We are especially looking for organizations or collectives with a strong community to host ballot parties ( we can help with the expenses) with your own friends, family, neighbors, or community. A ballot party will be a gathering of community where ballot measures are explained in more plain terms and the group is able to discuss how these ballots are going to impact our area and our everyday lives.
You do not need to be a political expert. We are looking for people who care about our community, are willing to learn, and can help us reach people through their relationships, neighborhoods, organizations, social networks, and community spaces.
If interested please email [email protected], follow the link in our bio or slide in the DMS!
