Black Humboldt Presents “Honoring the Past to Seed the Future”, a multimedia visual arts show hosted by opening Friday, June 6th from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM during Arts Alive Eureka.

The show invites the community to the opening reception of Honoring the Past to Seed the Future, a vibrant multimedia art exhibition celebrating Juneteenth through visual storytelling, cultural expression, music, and collective memory. The exhibition explores the relationship between ancestry, liberation, imagination, and the futures communities are building together. Through bold visual work and live performances, the event creates space for reflection, celebration, and community connection across generations.

Featured visual artists include Couri Jamison, Malachi Arthur, Charlie Charles, Mo Harper-Desir, and Kaya Reed. The evening will also feature performances from CHÏ, Sarai Bordeaux, RA MHTP, and DJ Deaf Eye.

The exhibition will remain on display from June 5th through June 28th and serve as part of Black Humboldt’s broader Juneteenth Cultural Festival programming across Humboldt County.

Guests can expect an immersive evening of art, music, culture, and connection.
