Recreation Administration majors take a core of 40+ units, including a

t least 12 units in the School of Business. In addition to the core recreation and business coursework, students focus on one of these options:

Sustainable Tourism Management

EMPLOYMENT POSSIBILITIES:
Representing the largest composite industry in the world: leisure services. We are everywhere: Parks & Recreation Departments & Not-for-profit Service Agencies on the local, state, national, and international levels. National Land Management agencies (NPS, BLM, FWS, USFS), Tourism and Hospitality, Senior Citizen Centers, Convention and Visitor Bureaus, Adventure Education, Youth Serving Agencies, Recreational Sports, Outdoor Leadership, Guiding, and many, many more. Wondering how you can become an outdoor trip leader? The Outdoor Assistantship might be for you!
Our students enrolled in this program learn to lead on land and water, assist on outdoor trips and most often get hired for paid positions at Outdoor Adventures and beyond!

Just go ask .eib who’s running programming, who’s got a sweet career in outdoor education, who’s worked for several outdoor programs, or who continues guiding rafting trips and more!
