Let me tell you a little bit about us and what we do. My name is Carrie Hendershot and my husband is James “Jimmy” Hendershot. We currently live in Harrisonville, PA and have three daughters, Laynee (12yrs

), Tenley (10yrs), and Quinnleigh (4yrs). Jimmy has always had a fascination with History, especially the wars. Both of his grandfathers served in the military. He feels very strongly that Veterans are not appreciated enough; they are willing to pay the ultimate price, but when they are back home, they are forgotten. So in August 2020 he decided to do something about that. He loves working with wood and making things. One day he sought out to make an American Flag and was amazed by his work. He realized he wanted to make them and donate them to local Veterans. When handing a Veteran the flag that Jimmy created, seeing the appreciation in their eyes, there are no words to describe it. It means so much to them. After donating a couple, we realized we wanted to do so much more. We started the process of forming a nonprofit organization with the sole purpose of helping veterans in need. My husband and I feel so passionately about this and want to help make a difference. Our second focus is to help raise awareness to the veteran su***de rate which is way to high. Our journey is just beginning so hop on board with us and help make our veterans feel the love they deserve to feel. ALL GAVE SOME, BUT SOME GAVE ALL

*** This year we will not be holding our 5K Color Run or our Veterans Day Benefit at Needle in the Haystack, LLC next month

We apologize as we know many people looked forward to the event. We still have some money left over from last year’s event and will continue to help local Veterans with it.
