🛡️ National Safety Month

Building Stronger, Safer Families

Strong families are built on love, respect, communication, and healthy relationships.

Creating safer homes and communities starts with prevention. By teaching positive life skills, modeling healthy behaviors, and supporting one another, we can help break the cycle of violence and build a brighter future for the next generation.

💜 Teach Healthy Boundaries
Children should know that their feelings matter, their voice deserves to be heard, and they have the right to set healthy boundaries with others.

🗣️ Practice Respectful Communication
Healthy relationships are built on listening, respect, honesty, and kindness—not fear, intimidation, or control.

🔄 Break the Cycle
Violence is learned, but so is respect. By addressing unhealthy behaviors and teaching positive relationship skills, families can help end generational patterns of abuse.

🌱 Healing Is Part of Prevention
Self-care, counseling, support groups, and healthy coping strategies can help individuals and families heal from trauma and move forward with strength and hope.

🤝 Community Matters
No family should face challenges alone. Community resources, support services, and caring individuals can make a lasting difference in the lives of those affected by violence.

Together, we can create homes where children feel safe, families feel supported, and relationships are rooted in dignity and respect.

🧡 This Weekend is Weekend 🧡

At Angels of Love, we stand in solidarity with survivors and communities across the nation to raise awareness about the dangerous intersection of domestic violence and fi****ms.

When an abusive partner has access to a firearm, the risk of homicide increases by an estimated 500%, making firearm accountability a critical component of domestic violence prevention and survivor safety.

Every survivor deserves to live free from fear. By increasing awareness, strengthening safety planning, supporting survivors, and promoting responsible firearm accountability, we can help save lives and prevent tragedy before it occurs.

This Weekend, we encourage you to:
🧡 Wear orange to show your support for survivor safety.
🧡 Learn the warning signs of domestic violence.
🧡 Talk with friends and family about healthy relationships.
🧡 Support organizations that provide services to survivors.
🧡 Be a voice for safety, hope, and prevention.

If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic violence, help is available. Angels of Love is here to provide support, resources, advocacy, and safety planning.

🧡 June 5 is National Gun Violence Awareness Day 🧡

Today, Angels of Love joins communities across the nation in raising awareness about the impact of gun violence and the importance of survivor safety.

For victims of domestic violence, access to a firearm can dramatically increase the danger they face. Research shows that when an abusive partner has access to a gun, the risk of homicide increases by 500%. Fi****ms can be used not only to inflict physical harm, but also to intimidate, threaten, control, and terrorize victims and their children.

Warning signs may include:
⚠️ Threats involving a firearm
⚠️ Escalating violence or controlling behavior
⚠️ Stalking or monitoring a victim’s movements
⚠️ Threats of murder or su***de
⚠️ Violations of protective orders

If you are experiencing domestic violence, take every threat seriously and create a safety plan. Reach out to trusted friends, family members, law enforcement, or a victim advocate for support.

🧡 Be Aware. Be Safe. Be Prepared.

You are not alone. Help is available.

Together, we can raise awareness, support survivors, and work toward safer families and safer communities.

🎙️💜 A Special Thank You to Jay Cantu and Wild 104! 💜🎙️

On behalf of Angels of Love, we would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Jay Cantu and the team at Wild 104 for welcoming us on the air this morning.

We truly appreciate the opportunity to share our mission, raise awareness about domestic violence prevention, and discuss the programs and services available to individuals and families in our community. Partnerships with local media help us amplify the voices of survivors, educate the public, and connect those in need with resources and support.

Thank you for helping us spread hope, healing, and empowerment throughout the Rio Grande Valley. Together, we can continue making a difference—one conversation, one family, and one life at a time.

She arrived with nothing but the clothes on her back… and a child holding tightly to her hand.

No suitcase.

No money.

No safe place to sleep.

Only fear, bruises hidden beneath long sleeves, and the silent hope that someone—somewhere—would care enough to help her survive.

At Angels of Love, we meet women and children on the worst day of their lives.

Victims fleeing domestic violence, sexual assault, trafficking, and unimaginable abuse. Many leave everything behind just to stay alive.

Tonight, somewhere nearby, another mother is sitting in a car with her children, terrified to go home.

Another survivor is wondering if anyone will believe her. Another child is falling asleep hearing violence through the walls.

And the heartbreaking truth is this:
Love alone cannot keep them safe.
Hope alone cannot house them.
Prayers alone cannot build shelter walls.

That is why Angels of Love launched the:
ONE MILLION. ONE LIFE. ONE NEW BEGINNING.
“The Dollar That Changed Her Life Campaign"

We are asking ONE MILLION PEOPLE to give just ONE DOLLAR to help build hope, safety, healing, and a future for survivors of violence.

One dollar may not seem like much to you.

But to a woman escaping abuse…
it could become a warm bed.

To a frightened child…
it could become a hot meal.

To a survivor with nowhere to go…
it could become the first night she finally sleeps without fear.
One dollar can become counseling.
One dollar can become legal advocacy.
One dollar can become emergency shelter.
One dollar can become survival.
One dollar can become freedom.

Most importantly…
One dollar can become the moment someone realizes:
“I matter enough for someone to help me.”

This campaign is bigger than fundraising.

It is about saving lives.

It is about proving to survivors that they are not forgotten, invisible, or alone.

It is about giving women and children the chance to start over with dignity, safety, and hope.

Please… do not scroll past this story.
Be the reason someone survives.
Be the reason a child feels safe again.
Be the reason a woman gets a second chance at life.

Donate $1.
Donate more if you can.

Share this campaign with everyone you know.

Because somewhere tonight… someone is praying for the help that YOU could provide.

One Million People.

One Dollar Each.

One Life Forever Changed.

Help us create One New Beginning.
