Build your house on the Rock

Today, our friends from Covenant Presbyterian Church - Charlotte, NC helped us at casa 13 and casa 14 by laying blocks to begin constructing the walls of each home. Before we can build the walls, it's important to ensure that the foundation is solid.

Just as the Bible teaches us to build our lives and our homes on the Rock, who is the Lord, we pray that these houses will be filled with His presence, bringing joy, love, peace, and hope to every family who lives in them.

Day one, and our team from Covenant Presbyterian Church - Charlotte, NC crushed it!

We are truly impressed by the grit, determination, and strength these youth have brought to the table this week. From preparing and pouring the floor at casa # 14, to pouring the floor at casa # 13 and tying rebar in the afternoon, this awesome group of leaders was willing to jump in and get the work done!

We are incredibly blessed to have such energy, enthusiasm, and servant-hearted leadership among our staff and volunteers this week!

Welcome to our friends from Covenant Presbyterian Church - Charlotte, NC!

We couldn't be more excited to have this wonderful group of youth with us this week as they serve alongside our team. Their joy, enthusiasm, and energy are truly a blessing, and we are grateful that God has brought each of them here this summer.

Our prayer is that the Lord will open their hearts, minds, and eyes to all the lessons, opportunities, and blessings that lie ahead. We look forward to seeing how God works through them and in them during their time in Mexico.

God Provides Roofs Over Our Heads!

Casa # 6 of this year now has a roof poured!Our hardworking Starfish Team # 3 worked diligently this morning to complete the next step in transforming this house into a home, preparing it for a family to move in. For some, today was a new experience; for others, it was a chance to remember the joy that can only be described as messy and wonderful.

We are so grateful for this team, along with our friends from First Presbyterian Church Lumberton NC, who helped build Casa # 6 earlier this year. We truly could not do this work without your willing hands, partnership, and prayers.

Welcome, Starfish Team #3!

This week is especially exciting as it is our third ever Mission Trip for All and we have friends from Florida, North Carolina, Indiana, and Pennsylvania. This incredible group will be helping prepare the foundations for upcoming homes while also experiencing many of our programs throughout the ministry.

We are praying for open hearts, meaningful connections, and opportunities for each person to see God at work in powerful ways throughout the week.

We are so grateful to have shared such a life-changing week with you all. From building Casa # 11 and Casa # 12, we couldn't have asked for a stronger team!

It is truly a gift to have you join us, and we simply could not do this incredible work without your support and partnership. We can't wait to welcome all of you back next year and continue making a difference together.

Felicidades Casa # 4!

We are so excited that the roof for casa # 4 was poured this morning by our team at First Presbyterian Church Fayetteville, NC! This home was built earlier this year by our friends at Meridian Street United Methodist Church, and we have been looking forward to this day.

Even with a brief rain shower, we were able to get the roof poured successfully! We are thankful for God’s provision in helping provide a roof over this family’s head and for the care, hard work, and dedication of everyone on site this morning.

Today was a blast! Our team from First Presbyterian Church Fayetteville, NC had the opportunity to bring some new games to the kids in our community this morning. It was such a joy to connect through laughter, energy, bubbles, and jump ropes!

The day continued with grocery deliveries and a trip to Naranjito. As we shared resources and encouragement with others, we found our team equally blessed and encouraged in return!

We wrapped up the day by pouring the ring at Casa #11 and the ring and columns at Casa #12. It was a full day of serving, building, and making memories together.

Dame la mano!
Give your hand, brother and sister, and let's build something great together!

Our fantastic team from First Presbyterian Church Fayetteville, NC continued working on casa # 12 and casa # 11, laying more blocks to construct sturdy walls as well as preparing and pouring the columns. We are grateful for the day, the fellowship, and all the joy it brought!

May we continue to seek opportunities to seek joy and service in the days ahead!

Building homes takes a lot of perseverance. Whether it’s moving blocks from one pile to another or pushing through a 20-minute rain shower, grit and persistence are key ingredients.

Our wonderful team from First Presbyterian Church Fayetteville, NC helped us prepare and pour the floor for casa # 12 for the Hernandez Hernandez family and begin the walls for casa # 13 for the Morales Gracia family.

We loved spending time with this team, and hearing conversations between members practicing Spanish filled our hearts with joy. Listos o No, these houses are going to be beautiful, and we’re grateful to be building them together.
