Urgent Prayer and Advocacy Request
Cybersecurity breach at our Wells Fargo Checking Account
Dear FB Family,
I would like to share about a terrible situation that is deeply affecting our family. We humbly request your prayers and your support in any way possible.
My son Asaf’s checking account was hacked and a person named Kayla Buchert stole $3,950 dls through a fraudulent wire transfer on November 4th. These are all of Asaf’s savings from his summer job for college.
I saw it happening in real time, as Asaf’s account was glitching on the Wells Fargo app, appearing and disappearing, as I was on the phone at that very moment with the Wells Fargo Fraud Department.
I spent almost two hours that morning with the Fraud Department officers, asking them to stop the wire transfer. They were only able to stop/reverse 2 crypto charges and the wire transfer fee.
We received a call a couple of weeks ago from the Claim Department from Wells Fargo, informing us that our case was closed and that the Investigation Department had ruled that there was no fraud.
What a faulty investigation indeed.
We have submitted our claim to the FBI C3 for cybersecurity crimes.
The bank refuses to reopen our claim.
We are calling on Mr. Charlie Scharf, Chairman and CEO for Wells Fargo and Company and Mrs. Bridget Engle, Head of Technology and Cybersecurity to intervene on our behalf.
We did not authorize any wire transfers.
The bank is not being responsible for their cybersecurity breach.
We are loosing $3,950 dls.
We are praying for ideas and patience.
Would you please join us in prayer and advocacy on our behalf?
