📬💙 Mail call for WILLACY Inc!

The thank-yous are pouring in from some of the kiddos whose projects WILLACY Inc was proud to support at the Willacy County Livestock Show this past January, and they’re a great reminder of why investing in our local youth matters.

Being an exhibitor is about so much more than what happens in the show ring. Through 4-H, FFA and livestock projects, these kids learn responsibility, time management, financial management, leadership, perseverance and commitment. They experience the long days, early mornings, late nights, successes and disappointments that come with setting a goal and seeing it through.

But perhaps just as important, they find their village.

They build relationships with fellow exhibitors, parents, teachers, ag teachers, mentors, volunteers and community members who encourage them, challenge them and show up for them. Those friendships and lessons can follow them long after the animals leave the show ring — into the classroom, college, the workforce and eventually into the communities they will help lead.

That is exactly what WILLACY Inc — We Instill Long-Lasting Aspirations in our County’s Youth — is all about.

Our mission may include providing scholarships for higher education, but investing in our youth starts long before graduation day. Supporting programs and experiences that teach them to work hard, dream bigger, lead well and give back helps build the foundation for their future success.

To all of our young exhibitors who took the time to send us a note: thank you! We loved hearing from you, and we’re proud to play even a small part in your journey. 💙

Keep working. Keep learning. Keep showing. And most importantly, keep aspiring! 🌟
