🏗️🐾❤️ TEAM 4 ...1/2 🤔 — THE BIG BUILDING… AND APPARENTLY A WHOLE LOT MORE! 🤣
Soooo… remember that big building we're trying to get up?
Wellllll… there's a little more to that story. 😅
Once we get this building up and organized, part of it will be used for storage for Rocky And Rustys Redemption Rescue AND Community Tides ❤️
Wait… what? Two organizations?!
YEP! 😏
Here's a fun little fact about our organizations…
Some of our Rocky & Rusty's volunteers are actually the FOUNDERS of Community Tides!
And some of us from Rocky & Rusty's volunteer with THEIR team!
See where this is going? 🤣
We're basically a bunch of the same people running around wearing different volunteer hats.
One minute we're helping animals.
The next we're helping families.
And somehow we're all involved. 🙃😂
Different organizations. Different missions. A whole lot of the same people! ❤️
And while we're talking about volunteering…
WHAT IF YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO BUILD ANYTHING?! 🤔
Maybe swinging a hammer isn't your thing.
Maybe you don't want to build fences, work on cabins, or put up buildings.
Maybe organizing and sorting doesn't sound like much fun either.
WELLLLL…
HAVE WE GOT SOME WEIRD ODD JOB TOO! 🤣🤣
For example…
🧼 WE NEED PEOPLE TO PEEL LABELS OFF BOTTLES!
Yep.
You read that correctly.
Peel. Labels. Off. Bottles.
And not just one or two bottles.
We have A GA***RD of them. 😳😂
But wait… there's actually a reason for this madness!
Those bottles need their labels removed so they can be filled with BODY WASH AND LAUNDRY DETERGENT!
And before anyone asks…
No, we're not opening a Rocky & Rusty's Bubble Bath Emporium. 🛁🤣
The body wash and laundry detergent are waiting to be put into these bottles so they can make their way to the Community Tides pantry cabinets, where they'll help individuals and families in our community who need them. ❤️
Because here's the thing…
It's no secret that we secretly help Community Tides whenever we can. 🤫🤣
And they help us, too!
We're an animal rescue. That's our mission, and that's where a whole lot of our time, energy, and resources go.
But that doesn't mean we can't lend a hand to another organization doing amazing things for our community!
And when your volunteers are also their founders…
Well…
MIX. MIX. MIX. 🤣❤️
Nobody really knows whose project they're working on anymore.
We're just out here trying to help whoever needs helping. 😂
And that's part of why we're so excited about getting this big building up!
Not only will it help us get our rescue supplies organized and out of the way and out of storage, but it'll also provide storage space for supplies that will eventually make their way into the community through Community Tides.
ONE BUILDING. TWO ORGANIZATIONS. A WHOLE LOT OF GOOD! ❤️
Now back to our volunteer situation…
When we say we need help on MONDAY, OCTOBER 12, we don't just mean people who know how to build things!
We need people who can sort, organize, clean, carry, peel labels, fill bottles, and tackle all those random little projects that never seem to get finished.
Maybe you can't physically do the construction work.
Maybe you only have an hour or two.
Maybe you just want to sit somewhere and peel labels while chatting with other volunteers.
THAT'S PERFECTLY FINE!
Because that little job that might seem silly or insignificant?
It could mean a family has laundry detergent to wash their clothes.
It could mean someone has body wash when they otherwise wouldn't.
And while you're doing that, another group of volunteers might be outside building safe spaces for rescue animals.
Two completely different needs being met by people who simply show up to help. 🥹❤️
🐾 MONDAY, OCTOBER 12!
We're tackling fencing, cabins, storage, the big building, and apparently a small mountain of soap bottles. 🤣
If you've been wanting to volunteer but weren't sure what you could do, THIS is your opportunity!
And if you show up saying, "I don't really have any special skills…"
Don't worry.
WE WILL FIND YOU SOMETHING TO DO. 😏😂
It might be a weird job.
It might be a dirty job.
It might involve peeling 700 labels off bottles.
But we promise there's a reason behind the madness. ❤️
Sometimes we're helping paws. Sometimes we're helping people. And sometimes we're helping both before lunch. 🐾❤️🤣
Rocky & Rusty's Redemption Rescue & Community Tides
Different missions. Shared volunteers. One community worth helping. ❤️
