✨ Introducing Emma! ✨

Emma is a goofy, high-energy girl with a BIG personality 😅 She loves attention and fully believes she should be the center of it at all times. If another dog is getting pets, Emma will absolutely bulldoze her way into the middle of it 💀

She’s playful, active, and loves to run around, but she is also insecure/skittish at times and will need a family willing to help continue building her confidence. Emma is a jumper too — and not just a little one 👀 this girl can jump as high as your head without thinking twice.

She’s also incredibly smart… unfortunately sometimes she uses her powers for chaos 😂 Emma has mastered counter surfing and has a very expensive hobby of stealing things off counters to chew up. Her current obsession? Cords 😳 Apparently if it plugs in, Emma thinks it’s a snack.

While Emma does okay around other dogs, we personally think she may thrive best as an only dog or where she can soak up all the attention for herself. If there are other dogs in the home, proper introductions will be required.

Emma is looking for a patient home that understands quirky, energetic dogs and is willing to work with her while also laughing at her ridiculous antics along the way ❤️ shes a ball of energy and needs a job, Her favorite toys are the big roasted cow knee bones. She can figure out a treat puzzle in minutes.

🐾🚨🌿 EXCITING BIG NEWS 🌿🚨🐾

🐾 If you were at our 10-Year Anniversary Event last weekend, you may have spotted a few signs and wondered... "Wait... what are they up to now?" Well... about that. 👀👇

We've been keeping a little secret... 👀

Over the last several months, one of our board members has been dreaming bigger, planning bigger, and asking the question:

💚 "What if we could help more?"

Well... after a lot of conversations, research, planning, and probably a few questionable decisions along the way... 😅

We're excited to officially announce the future launch of:

🦝🦉🦌 New Leaf Wildlife & Exotics 🦌🦉🦝

A sister rescue organization that will focus on the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of Wisconsin wildlife, as well as providing assistance for exotic animals when possible.

Before anyone asks...

❌ No, this is not happening overnight. ❌ No, we are not suddenly taking in raccoons tomorrow. ❌ No, we have not completely lost our minds.

(At least no more than usual.)

Becoming a licensed wildlife rehabilitation organization requires training, permits, facilities, equipment, veterinary partnerships, and a whole lot of hard work. We know this will be a long journey, but every journey starts somewhere.

The best part?

🐾 Rocky & Rusty's Redemption Rescue isn't going anywhere. 🦎This is an expansion of our mission, not a replacement for it.

We'll continue doing what we've always done—saving animals in need—while helping build something new for the wildlife and exotic animals that often have nowhere else to go.

So while most organizations probably make sensible decisions...

We apparently looked around and said:

🦝 "That raccoon needs help." 🦔 "That Lizzard needs help." 🦎 "That critter needs help." 🤷‍♀️

Because we're clearly not feral enough already.

🚔🐾 HAPPY 6-YEAR ANNIVERSARY, DEPUTY CROSSMAN! 🐾🚔

Today marks 6 years since Deputy Crossman took the oath and became a Deputy.

While Rocky & Rusty's Redemption Rescue has only had the privilege of working alongside her for just under a year, we can honestly say that if it weren't for her dedication, compassion, and willingness to go the extra mile, hundreds of animals in our county would never have received the help they needed.

Whether it's responding to neglect cases, helping with stray animals, investigating or making difficult decisions when no easy answers exist, she has never stopped fighting for the animals who cannot speak for themselves.

In less than a year working together, she has helped well over 700 animals. Those animals may never know her name, but their lives are better because of the work she does every day.

So if you see Deputy Crossman today, take a moment to congratulate her and thank her for her service to both our community and its animals.

And if you're feeling extra generous... maybe make sure she doesn't have to buy her own Lotus drink for a bit. 😉
