Hunger Task Force, Inc. Grant Award!!!
This grant will help continue something we believe strongly in:
Local farms → Local food → Local families. 🥕🌽🥩
Through this partnership, fresh produce, fruit and locally raised meat are purchased directly from area farmers and producers and then provided at no cost to Juneau County residents.
It supports our local farmers and producers while also helping ensure that families, seniors and individuals throughout Juneau County have access to fresh, nutritious food.
Hearts for Hope is proud to be part of a partnership that shows what can happen when local organizations, schools, farmers, businesses and neighbors work together.
This is what Hearts for Hope is all about—neighbors helping neighbors and building stronger communities together. ❤️
📣 ATTENTION, JUNEAU COUNTY RESIDENTS!
We’re thrilled to share some exciting news! 🎉
The Juneau County LFPA Program has been awarded funding through the Hunger Task Force, Inc. Connecting Farms to Families Grant, which means we’re able to add a few more LFPA food distributions in Juneau County this fall! 🥕🌽🥩
Many of you have joined us at these distributions over the past few years, but we wanted to take a minute to share what this program is all about—because at its heart, it has always been pretty simple.
❤️ local farms → local food → local families.
The program purchases mini CSA shares of fresh produce, along with ground beef, directly from local farms and producers. That food is then distributed at no cost to Juneau County residents.
It’s a simple model with a big local impact: program funding purchases food from local farmers and producers, supporting our local agricultural economy, while that locally produced food goes directly to families and individuals in our community.
The program originally began through a partnership between the Juneau County Land & Water Resources Department, ADRC of Eagle Country – Juneau County Office, and local farms and producers after grant funding was awarded to help improve access to fresh, locally sourced food.
When the original grant funding ended at the end of 2024, the program recognized the continued need in our community and the value of keeping this effort going.
In 2025, the program continued as a grassroots, local effort, with area farms, producers, organizations, and community partners coming together to fundraise and keep these distributions going.
And now, thanks to the Hunger Task Force Connecting Farms to Families Grant, we have additional funding to purchase more food from local farms and producers and offer additional distributions this fall! 🎉
Our next pop-up distribution will be held at the Mauston/Lyndon Station Sharing Supper at Mauston High School!
📣 PLEASE NOTE THE LOCATION CHANGE FOR THIS DISTRIBUTION!
Juneau County residents are encouraged to come in and enjoy a hot meal from our friends and partners at Sharing Supper—and on your way out, grab some fresh fruit, vegetables, and meat to take home, while supplies last! 🥕🍎🥩
This distribution is open to ALL Juneau County residents. There are NO income or eligibility requirements to participate- if you're a Juneau County resident, you're welcome!
