New in the Library Art Gallery this month: FACETIME by photographer Jean Schweibish.

During walks along North Fork beaches, Jean discovered faces hidden in rocks, driftwood, and other natural objects—a phenomenon known as pareidolia. Now she's inviting visitors to help name them!

Stop by the gallery to view all 30 images and submit your ideas. The winning names (and the people who created them) will be revealed at a reception later this month.

Video description: a slideshow of photographs from Jean Schweibish's exhibit FACETIME shows rocks and driftwood that resemble human faces. Text explains the concept of pareidolia, or seeing faces in random patterns. The video ends with information about the exhibit and an invitation to help name the faces.
