Another gutsy win for the BC Crusaders over a strong Delby squad. Senior University of Maine commit Angelo Deer threw 5 strong innings giving up 0 earned runs and Senior Susquehanna University commit Aidan Martin featured more vicious strikeout pitching as he closed it out! Huge bases loaded, bases clearing double by Rising Senior Luis De La Cruz who continues to scorch the ball!! Next up tomorrow night at Skylands Ballpark at 7PM is a red-hot Cranford squad who thoroughly humbled Don Bosco Prep (Official School Page) with a 12-0 blowout behind storng pitching on the 1-hit shutout.

Team executed in all the right spots against a very tough Millburn squad for a hard fought 5-3 win. Below Patrick Cerami drives in Amari Paula with the go-ahead Sac Fly to make it 4-3, and then another insurance run on heads up base running by Ruven Pina on a throwing error. The pen tandem of DJ Chatrnuck and Aidan Martin completely shut the door a gritty lineup with Aidan striking out the side to close it out! 🤜 👍 💪 S-T-R-O-N-G ♥ ♥ ♥

Onward for a Bergen Catholic team with tons of heart and soul...these kids really get it. So much fun to watch, they keep fighting and they know how to put an opponent away.

Great post-game article on nj.com from first game of the Championship Bracket against Mount Olive. Angelo Deer, a University of Maine commit, was lights out going 5 strong and shutting out a hot lineup. Hustle play by Patrick Cerami, A Salve Regina University commit, ignited a 6-run opening frame on a dropped 3rd strike resulting in him reaching reach safely and scoring on an oppo bingle by fellow Senior & Eastern Kentucky commit, Amari Paula. Senior Brian Daugherty, a SUNY Brockport commit, closed it out with the final RBI of the day taking a pitch to the head and shaking it off like a pro.

BIG contributions with BIG hits were underclassmen and future Crusader leaders...Luis De La Cruz (Who picked off a runner at 1B with a hose from behind the fish too!), Lucas Tsai, Gavin Baratta, Ruven Pino, Andrew Cronin and Zach Wasserlauf. The future of BC Baseball looks very, very bright!! 💥 ⚾

A first inning KO punch ignited by hustle play...Angelo Deer was absolutely dealing and extinguished a hot Mount Olive lineup. The BC lineup looked like hit parade led by Lucas Tsai going 4-4. Also, an outstanding job defensively all around, highlighted by a backhand snag outside the 3rd base line by Gavin Baratta who fired an absolute laser to first in the 1st inning to s***f out any hope for Mount Olive. Our BC Crusaders play this Tue at 10am at Yogi Berra Stadium in Little Falls as they went 3-0 in pool play and enter the Championship Round as the #2 Seed against Mount Olive. Please come out and support our young men! Tix available at the Box Office at the stadium.
