We’re working alongside NECHAMA and neighboring homes in Pace, Florida, clearing hazardous trees and debris to help make their homes safe again. The impact of Hurricane Isaias is visible down every street, with large piles of fallen trees and debris lining the neighborhoods. Bringing relief to affected communities isn’t just about the physical cleanup; it’s about listening, building relationships, and supporting them during tough times.

To help keep Sulala Animal Rescue’s doors open (Gaza’s only operational vet facility), AH&H is delivering vital medication, food, and critical supplies to care for displaced and injured animals. During a recent field visit across Gaza, AH&H CEO Nate Mook joined our local team, delivering dog and cat food and supporting Sulala’s daily feeding routine in the shelter. 🐾💜

Heavy machinery is breaking up massive boulders across Nuwakot, Nepal, while community members stop along the way to clear smaller rocks by hand. Together, they’re reopening roads cut off by the floods so food, hygiene products, and medical supplies can reach isolated communities.
The floods have severely damaged transport networks across Nepal, making it hard for families to reach safety and for humanitarian teams to deliver aid. Restoring road access reconnects communities and keeps recovery moving.
Support is just as important now as it was on day one. As families face a long road to recovery, they still need aid and help rebuilding their lives.

When the floods swept through Bidhur, Nepal, Kumari lost the home her family had worked so hard to build, along with everything they owned. Forced to flee with only the clothes on their backs, her family now faces an uncertain future as they struggle to find a safe place to live and the means to start over.

When Kumari was finally able to return, the thick mud and debris made it impossible for her to begin cleaning up or salvaging what remained. Our team stepped in to help clear the debris from her home, giving Kumari and her family a helping hand as they take their first steps toward recovery.

AH&H is supporting teachers and providing classroom supplies at Shamou’ Al-Amal School and Al-Fuad Academy, 2 of the 31 schools we support in Gaza, and we’re working to expand that support to keep children safe and healthy. 📚 While there, CEO Nate Mook sat with children in tent classrooms and met with local partners, educators, and families to shape how we grow these vital learning spaces for displaced kids.

Students at Iyao Elementary, one of the schools we rebuilt and recently handed over to the community, took part in a beautiful and enriching tree-planting activity. 🌱🌳

This wonderful initiative gave the children a chance to connect with nature while learning why protecting our environment matters. By planting and caring for trees, they develop responsibility, strengthen teamwork, and take pride in helping create a greener, healthier future for their community.

Two months after the Nepal floods, recovery remains a daily challenge for affected communities. The need for food, essential supplies, shelter, and ongoing support is still immense. As the days go by, the disaster's full impact continues to unfold, extending far beyond what images can capture. Dinesh experienced the aftermath firsthand and shares his story, offering a closer look at the challenges communities continue to face and the road ahead.

Recovery takes time, and continued support matters. Every contribution helps communities take another step forward.

Together with local partners, we’re building four new bamboo classrooms with natural finishes at Telesecundaria Alberto Einstein School in Mexico, designed to meet government standards. They replace four classrooms that were demolished after earthquakes and persistent rainfall left them unsafe.
Work is underway. We’ll share updates as the classrooms and WASH facilities take shape.

Sometimes, a smile says it all. And behind every smile is a community that makes it possible. At Iyao Elementary School in the Philippines, children are back in their new classrooms, with a safe space to learn, play, and dream about the future.

This milestone reflects what communities can achieve when they come together. Working alongside local communities, volunteers, and partners, we help rebuild more than schools. We help create spaces where children can grow, feel safe, and discover new possibilities.

Recovering from this tragedy in Nepal feels almost like a dream, one that could become reality through hard work and, above all, resilience. The flood’s destruction was immense, and the entire community has endured devastation since August 26. Sukmaya shares what she witnessed and experienced. There is still so much to do, so much to recover, so much to rebuild, so much to restore, and above all, so many people to remember.
